Gunner, HEAT, PC! on Steam Next Fest.

I'm interested in this too. Something I've noticed though, while the Steam page mentions partial controller support the current edition of the user manual (webpage on the dev studios site) only mentions WASD controls. Hopefully that's only for an early build, because no HOTAS integration would make this a non starter for me.

It is possible to set up a joystick to control the view axis.

GHPC Early Access Release Date and Price Info
GunnerHEATPCDev · 28 minutes ago · Announcements

As we hinted in our last Patron Q&A at the beginning of July (which you can join at the start of every month on Discord as a Patreon supporter), we’re finally ready to give some more detail on the Gunner, HEAT, PC! Steam Early Access (EA) release.

When is the Steam Early Access Release Date?

The Early Access version of GHPC will be released on September 6, 2022 at 12 noon PDT (GMT-7) / 3pm EDT (GMT-4).

How much will the game cost at launch?

The base price of the game at EA launch will be $29.99 USD. We will be running a 10% off launch sale for the first week. Eventually, after an Early Access development period, the full 1.0 release of the game will have a larger price that has yet to be determined. We want to thank early access players on Steam for their support and consideration while also funding the game’s development costs, so we think this model fits best.

Here’s what you get for supporting us via Steam:

The full existing game content with all vehicles and features
All content updates and bug fixes for the base game as development progresses
Cheaper initial buy-in price
For new users looking to try out the game, the demo will make its way back to the Steam page sometime post-EA release.

I am a Patron, what about me?

TL;DR: Patrons who have donated $25 or more over the lifetime of their subscriptions will get a Steam Key.

We have been floored by the support of the GHPC community over the years, and we have tried to show our appreciation with relatively-consistent game updates, developer interaction (streams, Patron-only Discord areas), and exclusive content. With that said, we want to further reward Patrons for their patience. Those who have donated $25 or more over the lifetime of their subscriptions will receive a Steam EA key.

Prior to EA release, we will be emailing those Patrons, both active and inactive, to confirm they are able to access the keys once sent. On release day, emails with those keys will go out.

We’re also considering rewards of some kind for longer-term patrons, because your support is incredible and we want you to have more than what we've given you so far. Stay tuned for more details on that.

What is going to happen to Patreon?

This is going to be quite a shift for us, having developed with Patreon funding for so long, but we needed to get onto Steam proper. While we are going to put more focus on the EA build, Patreon will still be available to support us. We will be announcing some content changes to available tiers, and offering new content tiers for those looking to continue support. The content will include early build testing, different forms of access to the developers, and additional rewards.

As for definitive content changes post-EA release, the Public and Patreon versions of the game hosted on itch.io will be disabled and no further updates will be made to them. In their place, a new Release Candidate (RC) build will be made available to a new Patreon tier. The RC build will serve as an early preview and unstable build for upcoming Steam patches and will be restricted to supporters only.

What are updates going to be like?

The current Patron release cycle has been taxing for a very small team. So as not to force features out in a half-finished state or rush/crunch anything, we’ll be approaching EA and RC builds differently.

RC builds will be released as features get developed, ideally at least once a month. This gets the team valuable feedback from supporters so we can continue to make an awesome tank game.

The Steam EA build will be updated whenever features are complete and stable. Updates will incorporate feedback, non-critical bug fixes, and new content.

--------------------

Thanks for all the support thus far! It’s been amazing to see the game progress on the way to its first Steam release, and we look forward to making it even better.

For more information on the future of GHPC, don’t forget to check out the roadmap!

- GHPC Team

      Dear Friends,
Today we present to you the 5.104 update. It brings a new campaign and new mission types for Career mode.
      5.104 UPDATE
The new historical campaign Sky Nomads now is already available on our website and on Steam. It continues the story of the Soviet fighter pilot you may know from the Blazing Steppe campaign. After having fought in the Stalingrad battle in 1942, in 1943 he found himself in a midst of a hectic battle of Kuban - the campaign title reflects a bit the nomad life of the 43rd IAP which had to constantly change airfields and endure several Luftwaffe strikes on its positions. There is more information about the campaign in our Dev Blog #344.

New missions in the Career mode are photo reconnaissance, artillery spotting, and the escort of the transport aircraft on airdrop missions. The photo recon missions are now available with the Arado Ar. 234 of Sonderkommando Götz in Normandy (in the next update it will be also added to Spitfire XIVe). Artillery spotting missions are given to RAF squadrons No. 26 and No. 63 in Normandy which had the Spitfire MK.Vb and were specially trained for this task. The transport escort missions happen in the historical timeframes of the Normandy, Market Garden, Bastogne, and Varsity airborne operations - you can them in any Allied fighter squadron. Do your best to keep them safe on their way to the drop zone and back home!

There are other changes and fixes in the list as well:
      5.104
New historical campaign Sky Nomads (Yak-7b pilot in the battle of Kuban). There is detailed info about it in our Dev Blog #344; New Career mode missions: Photo Recon on jet Arado Ar. 234 in Normandy (Sonderkommando Götz); New Career mode missions: Artillery Spotting on Spitfire Mk.Vb in Normandy (No. 26 and No. 63 Squadrons RAF that were specially trained for this task); New Career mode missions: Transport Aircraft Escort of C-47s on their way to their drop zones during Normandy, Market Garden, Bastogne, and Varsity airborne operations timeframes; Tank campaigns Last Chance and Breaking Point are updated (added tactical numbers to aircraft involved, added new vehicles to some of the engagements); Many award descriptions updated; Ju 87D-3: the additional armor plate now moves together with the canopy as it should; Bf 109 G-6/AS: rockets correctly disappear when jettisoning their containers. WARBRD RACE 2023 WINNERS
In other news - we have the winners of the air race finals. They will receive or have received gifts from us and VIRPIL Controls.

As you can see, CSW_Tommy454 grabbed the first prizes in both categories - air races are unpredictable and two participants crashed in their Messerschmitts after performing a difficult maneuver! The race stream is available here.
Also, if you have participated in the race qualification, don't forget to check your profile on IL-2 website - there is a -50% off promo code applicable to all released content, including the newest ones like Spitfire XIVe, SSW D.IV or Battle of Normandy.
      JULY CALENDAR

Finally, here's an artwork ready to become your desktop wallpaper for next month if you wish (FullHD, 4K).
      See you in the skies!

So, as a discailmer, I only installed the game a few weeks ago so I might be wrong on how ED does things.

If you have your ear to the ground as far as DCS related topics go, you should be aware of the easter sale on the ED site.
Interestingly, the ED team only links to only their own E- store but not the steam shop.

If you go to the steam store, all the DLC is listed at non- sale prices.

Is ED hinting that it's gonna ditch steam? Or is everyone at ED get some bizzare memory issue where they forgot that steam existed?

[fimg=left]http://www.arma3.com/images/post_thumbs/arma3_alpha.jpg[/fimg]For those of us who have enjoyed playing OFP, Arma, Arma 2, and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead over the past decade, today BIS released a playable alpha version of Arma 3 on Steam.

It features the smaller of the 2 islands that the final version will ship with, a few single player scenarios, the mission editor, and multiplayer.

      Steam Arma 3 page: http://store.steampo...com/app/107410/

      BIS page: http://www.arma3.com/

In case you're wondering, yes, Arma 3 is Steam-only. Check BIS' site for their explanation. You can buy the Steam key direct from their site, or just buy it direct on Steam, unless you want the big "Supporter Edition" which is only for sale on BIS' site. Either way, you're getting a key for Steam.
