As always, let me know what you think. Your input is important.

Not exactly something about the model itself, But how difficult would it to make it into the T-5 brave eagle as well? its the same plane just a 2 seater (trainer)

That's an issue which will remain to be seen...AFTER the releasing of the SU-34 and AIDC F-CK-1 Ching -Kuo. ;) Until then my plate is ...full. We'll talk about how difficult is then, also.

So that's the next aircraft to be built for this site? The AIDC F-CK-1 Ching -Kuo.

Here are the last news about the project(s). The FCK-1 project will be taken over by GKABS team. GKABS , as we all know him is an all-involved person in many projects , including his own, and he personally wanted to make sure that he and his team will deliver exactly what you all wanted and vote for. That said, the project commencing will start in the coming future. Please stay tuned for more news about it.

The SU-34 project is halted for the time being, we have here the same problem, no 3D Max specialist present, to prepare the plane for SF2 environment, make the UV mapping etc etc. I will still search for the "best man" as I did all this time that pasted, but as you all know it's not easy job to convince someone to do that, even if you are ready to pay one's hard work. If anyone can give here a hand it will be appreciated, taking into consideration that the 3D model is already built.

Thank you for your patience and let's hope that before the year ends we'll have the both planes flying.:)

First, I will let you know that the initial decision (GKABS team will take over soon the FCK-1 project) was "revoked" at my request because of the new circumstances arisen. As you may remember we had a bit of a trouble losing the 3D modeller we started the project initially with. My search for the "best man" continued as I let you know last time and had no luck. But, meanwhile, one Combat Ace veteran saved the day for us, when I least expected, because I never dreamed he would have time and will put aside his work, in order to give us a helping hand. Logan4 joined the team and he will be handling the 3D modelling heavy lifting for the FCK-1 for the time being and, for both projects, generally. As you all know there is a lot of modelling work involved even if we already have the 3D models, in order to prepare them for the SF2 environment... GKABS team will also, if needed, give a hand with the SU-34, when the time comes. They will also assist, if needed, with any issue raised by the project work.

For now I can let you know that we will have four FCK-1 versions (yes, two seat version included, and, yes, you are welcome). Logan4 already corrected the FCK-1 3D model we have, there were some issues with it.(See the pictures included to compare some changes). As soon as we will have the UV mapping, for both models, we will start the work for some skins which will go nicely with them. We also found a better model for SU-34 than the built one we had, and we will bring it soon before commencing the work to SU-34 project effectively.

We also have but... AFTER the two planes (FCK-1 & SU-34) will be finished, tested, corrected and released, THREE more surprises, one bigger than the last one, if I may say so :) You are encouraged to ask and try to bribe me (I like cookies!) but being a surprise, of course, I won't tell you anything, I will just eat the cookies.  LOL

As usual I will take questions if you have and I'll do my best to answer to them.

In the end I want to thank Logan4 for his dedication, altruism and help. Just knowing him made me wish be a better person.

Some WIP shots. I would like to add that we are making serious progress with our FCK-1 project. Our 3D Max "operator", Logan4 is binding things together with a ferm grip; our project starts to get  a clear contour.

I trimmed yesterday the old thread, from all these began, "What will be next" and I reread this part:

Let's take the Su-34 as an example. I would love to have it in game, but first we have the cockpit issue - a Su-34 with F-111 or B-1B cockpit - no, thanks, I'd rather have something else. Then we also have the various pylon and rail taypes used on the Su-34 for A2A, A2G missiles, bombs, drop tanks, etc. I doubt many modders would be interested and would spend the time needed to model all correct pylons and rails for the Su-34 and having bombs loaded on missile rails or missiles on bomb pylons is a no-go for me.

Well I don't know if Svetlin remembers his post but I want to let you all know, Svetlin included, that...we will have these...various pylons fro A-A and A-G missiles, bombs, drop tanks etc :) Actually half of the work is already made. You are welcome :)

And the cockpit issue? Making cockpits is really time consuming, and involves a lot of numbers according to the experts.

More WIP...

Gear, gear door animations tested, correction and polishing almost finished. Minor aircraft body correction as well. Weapon pylons for AG ordnance finsihed and polished. Added external fuel tanks to the model. Some tweaking and editing for the main plane's files. We also work for some skins.

Landing lights, gear door actuators, canopy mechanism, missing airscoops/outlets, Maverick rails will be next on the to do list.

We have some update for you with the current project. There has been some 3D work made and corrected (lamps, canopy actuator, lower pitot, plane's hook), damaged meshes added. Logan4 also built and adapted , from scratch, a brand new HF-2 surface to air missile.

Work will continue to the project as planned with some expected (slightly) delays due to the summer holiday I think. We'll see when the time comes.

Our 3D Max operator, Logan4 is fiddling with the shapes of the "B" model and tries to keep the model as accurate as FCK-1 "B" model close ups pictures we've got.

Did you eat your cookies and the milk ? Did you behave all this time ? Whaaaat? You didn't ??? LOL Well, anyway St Nicolas has news for you.We are officially launching our AIDC T-5 Brave Eagle (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIDC_T-5_Brave_Eagle) thread. Our AT-5 is almost done, some details still remain to be nailed down.
As you might know by now, AT-5 is a trainer that has ability to carry most weapons the F-ck-1 could, except radar guided A2A weapons and the TC-2A anti-radiation missiles. It has no gun so we took the initiative to create an external gunpod for it.  Model itself is finished, though we might have to add an additional mesh to the back seat for the Hud repeater among other things. Since the AT-5 is a F-ck-1 modified version, we created templates for the AT-5 fuselage and updated them many time during the development. We still have some work here and there, for instance to adjust panel lines and the fade-in parts for the gills and airscoops. We planned, for now, just three skins for it (see the first two pictures and the last one included) though they will be a (real) challenge for the team given their complexity but I think we will manage it in the end. Decals are already planned to be implemented for it, too. We like the details so for the prototype we'll build a slightly different AC.lod with additional antennas. We made brand new pilots for the plane and we will also update soon the F-ck-1 with these new created pilots for it, too.
Given the present period of the year and the fact that some members of the team will take soon a well deserved holiday, we will have important news for you at the end of the January, next year. Until then we will work to the skins and to some left details. Stay tuned.

PS - I included four pictures as well for our model.

Well I was absent for a long period dealing with my own "in real life" problems but, at least for a while, I'll be hanging around here with you. What bird do you think should be next, if you caught my drift ? ;) Let me know what you're thinking ladies and gents, will you ?
