No the option does not help but yes they are 4k, however, in 0.52 the same with 4k textures is not slow (only loading is longer). Another remark from later use, version 0.6x is case sensitive for node names. If case is not exactly the same in the .LOD and in the data.ini, hitboxes and CollisionPoints will not show up when node is selected.

Gentlemen, I will try to put together all the updates, it is possible to see how they have been updated. https://github.com/denissoliveira/SFP2_ST/commit/222ed9fc1e4c4618c8041f82ad203a8e16ff4858

Maybe reborn MicroProse calls and TK will help create successors of Strike-Eagle, EAW, Fleet Defender, etc. Just dreaming though.

All this is is extra bloom, contrast filter and color correction filter. IMO all these external filters do is make everything look cartoonier, with exaggerated blacks and whites. And it doesn't adress the core issue of why stock Strike Fighters looks bland, which is non-optimized light settings and quite frankly subpar texture work on a lot of 3rd party assets (a lot of people here obsess over rivet placement but totally ignore concepts like ambient occlusion that really work towards adding depth to a scene).

I just flew a few tests in ODS with the GAU-13 gun accuracy down to 10% I would consider the results below an area weapon. Enlarge the screenshots and look at the spread of fire hitting the ground. Each one is a 1-1.5 second burst. My ODS F-16A Block 10 with improved textures, cockpit, avionics, loadouts, effects and updated data.ini (to viper team standards)

The first 20-25 minutes brought back memories of Initial Officer Training there in 1976-77. The combat kit & the rifles were different, but the RAF Regiment SNCOs treated us with just the same fond loving care! The nephew of a friend of mine is at Cranwell right now, from all reports the initial stages are still the same.. :)) PS made me smile to see the same RAF issue _furniture_ in the cadets’ rooms, as we were still using 20 years later.

I believe third party aircraft pool still beats any future TW releases. Honestly, we just need updated, bugfixed engine...community can handle models.

well I wasn't able to reach Veltro2k to ask him about his blackjack, I guess he is busy in real life (who isn't !?), so I decided, after consulting with my new project team, to get the show on the road. But this time, and I mean it, I really need YOUR help, especially from people who know how the SF2 engine works and what to ask/expect from a SF2 aircraft. So please come forward and feel free to tell me, in details, what exactly you would like to see , as features, in this new plane I want to build. After sorting all the details and requests with you, the community, I will pass the folder to the building team, so let's don't waste time. Thank you for your time! PS - for who is interested there will be a version for SF1, as well.
