5 pointsThe latest time period for SF-2 is Israel that ends in 1982. That being said the Hornet is not even in service during any time period of these games. When I put all these great mods together to build the "Legacy Hornet Package," it's intent was to have every version of the Hornet each as a separate aircraft. If you look closely the do conform with the naming conventions of the other titles. If you want the earliest version simply use "FA-18A" or "FA-18A-USMC." That gives you 1983 to 1989 era specific aircraft. The AIM-7M was fielded at the same time as the Hornet A. The M was standard equipment on them when put into service. So use of the 7F is anachronistic.

3 pointscan't remove the 'stache, as it's built into the model. you'd need the 3ds MAX files the shave it off ( ) It's an exceedingly easy mater to "paint over" the lip hair on the skin map. unless, of course, the ''stache is actually molded into his face or using another clean shaven unit would be the alternative. ;

3 pointsI would recommend membership fees for this magnificent addition alone. I don't think It's t too much to ask for financial support for the upkeep of this amazing site and all it's magnificent downloads .You also get access to an amazing support network of super skilled modders.

2 pointsHi VonS and Wrench! I was wondering something like Panama Red did for N24_Lewis. He removed all vickers elements only with an ini edition. Seams that this tweak is not possible for pilots. "To shave him, best is to open the relevant image file and then re-paint the area" "It's an exceedingly easy mater to "paint over" the lip hair on the skin map. unless, of course, the ''stache is actually molded into his face" Yes, I did this a couple of days ago, but I realy don't like the results. "Also check over Stephen's pilot heads - I think that he did some pilots with helmets but no moustaches." yes I'm painting Stephen pilots as well Anyway thanks for the help mates. I will continue with the other shaved pilots!

2 pointsThanks Wrench! I had a computer crash, real life, and IL-2 been keeping me away from SF2 recently! But!... I always am lurking! The coolest thing about the Hornet pack too me. Was the "Target Pod as a non drop weapon.'" Meaning you can select the pod as a weapon and scan through your ground targets. After myself and others figured that out, makes A-6E more fun! I guess know one got it.

2 pointsThanks Jarek and Kevin, I will do the tests with the indications of both and I will tell you what the result is ... I promise some nice photos. Greetings!

1 pointI've been happily dropping staff cars and work trucks into cities and villages all over my maps using Mue's target editor. Great stuff, Stephen. Thank you.

1 pointAs far as I know, it's not possible to remove the moustache via ini tweaks - but others may know more about this. To shave him, best is to open the relevant image file and then re-paint the area, or to drag-and-drop/replace the relevant "pilot-and-scarf" etc. BMP files from other pilot folders done by Geezer, with no moustache - into the pilot folder you are calling up via the data ini file for the aircraft being flown. Also check over Stephen's pilot heads - I think that he did some pilots with helmets but no moustaches. Von S EDIT: For those interested in how "pilot folders" are called up via data inis instead of individual pilot files that are often thrown into the "Pilots" folder of the FE2 user directory, see this old post here: https://combatace.com/forums/topic/88951-some-newbie-questions/?tab=comments#comment-720042

1 pointAll that stuff is modeled for each type. It would be nice, if people would actually look at this mod. A lot of guys did a lot of hard work on it. BTW. The afterburner is the exact same one used on the "Team Viper" F-16 mods.

1 pointAnd adjusting the game's year span must not be an option, either nice to see you around CH!!
-
1 pointheight is NOT adjustable -- usually only speed, but 99.8% of them are linked to gear animation . Gear goes up, drogues come out. ------------ since the KC-130 is using AUTOMATIC_MACH, try adjusting the deploy value, using the meters per second of oh, say, 160 knots. Retract value should be around 125 knots. See if that works
-
1 pointthis is from my KC-130s. Deploy values are set for refueling helos also...so you might want to adjust for you liking. But not sure if you can limit its use to a certain height. [RefuelDrogue] SystemType=HIGHLIFT_DEVICE DeploymentMethod=AUTOMATIC_MACH CD0=-0.0010 Setting[1].Angle=0.0 Setting[1].DeployValue=0.0 Setting[1].RetractValue=0.1 Setting[2].Angle=90.0 Setting[2].DeployValue=0.15 Setting[2].RetractValue=0.11 MaxDeflection=90.0 MinDeflection=0.0 ControlRate=0.5 AnimationID=10

1 pointso, this is an A model??? I noticed the lack of thimble nose for the radar) I wish I still has my R.G.Smith prints from boyhood (the COMPLETE set!!! of Douglas aircraft!!!) -- has several 124s that would've made great loading screens ps: i have the Air Force Legends book on pdf, if that'll help. side note: one of my fondest childhood memories is of seeing one come into Santa Monica Airport* for their annual air shows in the 1960s. My parents house was 50-70 yards east of the airport, just north of the flight path. EVERYTHING flew by our house!! They always had the cargo door open, and the ramps down to everyone could go inside and look around. Unfortunately, being an acrophobe (worse now because of my vision issues) 7-9 year old Kevin was too afraid to climb the ladder to the cockpit to look around the flight deck. *also home to Douglas Santa Monica plant -- where the B-19 was built!*
