    This is a sneak preview of my airbase, I will try to do my best to have everything that airbase needs (hopefully all-new models) I just hope I will be able to complete it in the coming months.

    Reworked pack of F-101B/F VooDoo. Generally old good VooDoo in new dresses. There are some small changes in data.ini files mostly in weapon stations section - so Backup your original file. You might not like it. Pack contains three versions - In reality, IR sensor was applied to different airframes different block build - not really possible to cover in this game engine limits. To make it easier in this game it will be. This is mostly to cover in some right way decals I've made and units. VooDoo '59 without IR sensor - block build 65-96. VooDoo '65 with IR sensor - block build - 100-120. VooDoo '69 ANG - same as 65 - just different set of skins. (I have an additional nation in my install: USA Air National Guard - that's why I have it as a separate model - but in this pack, it is set as USAF bird). All new skins in 3072x3072 resolution. New bump maps and specular maps. also in 3072.. plus more than 1000 decals so the set is again huge after unpacking. Pack contains 17 skins for Air Defense Command - all squadrons that ever used F-101B (from different time periods to cover years of usage). and 7 skin sets for Air National Guard from different time periods. All new decals consisting 451 serial numbers for blocks 65-120. Plus some buzz numbers decals - not all - as Buzzes disappeared in mid 60's. Serial numbers cover B and F models. Backup your original F-101 Folders. Also Decals! Some time ago (long ago) I started to use specific AIR-2 Genie for Voodoo - to accommodate it in weapons bay it is moded as specific stationcode=AIM4 - so to appear this Genie in a game you have to copy weapon AIR-2_Genie_101 also.     Just getting started on some bump & spec maps, de-icer props now spin, rocket pods are part of the aircraft model , in RL they were automatically jettisioned after use, I couldnt find a way to do it through the weapons editor, only the caps would dissapear, at least this way the whole lot goes but only works well if you fire all the rockets in one hit as the whole lot dissapears as you fire the first rocket. I would ideally like to make the caps and body as parts that could be damaged on firing and drop away as part of the damage model.........I dont even know if it could be done.......way above my head that stuff. Been putting off doing any serial numbers yet..........I hate decals, I have no problem making them, just a boring job for something 99% of folks would never know if they're real or not ( or care probably ) Pit has had another re-vamp...... The work continues.....

    just like the question states. leading off, i hope to -continue low level work on ODS upgrades (my part mainly in scouring the DL section for newer and better versions of already included mods, as well as some upgrade of whats already there) -continue with SAC B-52s (G model in particular, hoping for a partner on the H models) reskinning for the late 70s through end of SAC(1992) era -fix up the B-1s and FB-111s for SAC -minor tweaks to the B-52D, F and G for Vietnam, as well as minor tweaks for the white belly BUFFs to incorporate unit badges rather than just the SAC badge on both sides -repackaging some of the appropriate airliners as a USAF nationed Civil Reserve Airlift Fleet (CRAF) squadron for ODS -747-100/200, and possibly renewed DC-10s if a lil bird comes through (no pressure, no worries for the one that told me bout it) -finally, regardless of new trijet, new KC-10 skins using my current modus operandi (tga camo) with a focus on ODS not too much i hope, esp with a job keeping me busier than before and trying to learn how to land in a new sim w/o breaking at least one of the landing gear who else wants to give a sneak peek into their plans?

    Lately I've been working on an environment package, which combines various mods (cellinsky's widesky, Stary's SARCASM, ShrikeHawk's Cloudscape v3, etc.) into one. The idea is to produce a realistic sky, with better colours, lens flare effects and numerous clouds. The Overcast and Inclement weather have always lacked 3d clouds, now they are present as it always should have been. I tweaked Night and High Altitude colours as well, among other little things. The authors of the various mods I've been tweaking are going to be properly credited, of course! I am still not 100% convinced about some details, but I plan to release it early 2019, together with my SF1 GUI mod I showed at another thread.     Since I mostly fly older jets I never noticed the following hud behavior: If I yaw the aircraft, the pitch ladder in huds from "modern" jets (e.g F-14, F-15, F-16) in game moves horizontally. Is this a bug or engine limitation? Edit: uups, after watching some youtube videos of real life huds, this behavior seems correct...

    Just to wind up this one, I can report that for about £50 - around the cost of a new sim with nicer eye candy but a fraction of the content, I now have a legit (just activated fine) copy of Win 7, a 120 GB SSD, the SATA and molex adapter (power) cables I needed for it. And I now have a new install of BoB2 sharing the new drive, updated of course to 2.13 with multiskin, running apparently flawlessly. Easy BCD, free version, installed in Win 10, has enabled me to set things up so if I boot into Win 10, I get the Win 10 dual boot menu even though Win 7 is on a separate drive - which is a bit more convenient than using the BIOS/UEFI boot menu when I want to switch. I've now also copied across First Eagles 2's mods folder and Open Rails onto the Win 7 SSD so I can play those from Win 7 too. Still have plenty of spare capacity on the new SSD, so that's a bonus. Screenshot from my first test in Win 7 shows a Do17Z in which I'm manning the guns, in the instant action 'Interceptions - single fighter -v- single bomber' training mission, as we try to get away after dropping our eggs on a south coast target and waking up the flak people. Even though BoB2 was mostly playable in Win 10, eliminating the CTDs and being able to play the campaign missions in particular without the hassle and limitations imposed by the CTDs, makes this a very worthwhile investment.

    I have all three, but I couldn't make any hand at ROF, whatsoever (this is my fault, rather than that of what is an excellent sim, enjoyed by many). So, I removed it from my increasingly-crowded hard-drive. And, while I appreciate the great achievement that is WOFF, I almost always turn to FE2. I couldn't do a mod to save my life, so I can only repeat my gratitude for the work the talented people on here have so generously shared in order to bring this game to its current level of excellence, achieved in the face of such worthy competition. Thanks is also due to TK for providing us with a series of games in which all this has been possible.

    I am still tweaking colours, trying to find better balances. They are something in between Cellinsky's widesky and the stock SF2 colours. Fog colours are a real PITA to get right. My huge thanks to Cellinsky, Stary, PanamaRed, Fubar512, Brain32, ShrikeHawk, BearGryllis, Orsin, luk1978, for their respective mod works! Following screenshots are just a work in progress, not the final quality; for some reason the new night colour seems very dark on screenshot, but in-game the environment is reasonably visible.     See below - when I can keep it on target, I think the Lewis variant does a better job than the Hotchkiss, and you should think about removing that spinner to get better cooling of the cylinders!
