For the Spanish Civil War - The NiD 52 was a French designed plane built under license in Spain in the early 30's. It was used by both sides (mostly by the Republican forces) during the Civil War. I am making a version for each side. The model, decals, and skins are finished. The cockpit is built but I've only just started the skins for it. And I still have a lot of work to do with the FM, damage, etc.

I just found out that there is something going on here! So I did my donation of a Blue € Bill The time frame is ridiculously short... and I even haven't fired up the game for weeks. But I'm sure I wasted my money in the past in many worse ways

Just tested the latest FBX SDK...loaded model in max 2016 and 2010...only other versions I have access to....if you export via FBX plugin....SDK detects max version and installs app plugin.. it WILL work in max2009. via import FBX limitations.... 1,helpers turn to boxes.. no biggy 2,animated vertices wont scale no biggy 3,textures dont show in mat editor but they do show if you unwrap a mesh.,so maybe just build model and make basic uvunwrap maps etc.....no biggy adding back to material editor. or just map and add textures in 2009 so far only problems. so , my conclusions... model in max 2016 or so..animate basics or do it in 2009....export via fbx (MUST be version 2009.9) select in drop down for versions.when exporting. animate vertices you need in max 2009...really only needed for drag chutes..(.so not really that bad.) all in all far better visually to model in newer versions.... Give it a try with model you dont want. BEWARE....DONT SAVE MODEL ACCIDENTALLY AND LOSE ANY MAX2009 WORK...i NEARLY DID ..FORGOT THAT IT SAVES FILES IN SAME PLACE IF YOU INSTALA FURTHER VERSION OF 3DSMAX .THANK GOD FOR AUTOSAVE BACKUPS FUNCTION LOL

Dear Pilots, Summer is drawing to a close once again and our offices in Moscow and Las Vegas are finally transitioning to cooler weather. The Fall season brings warm sweaters and more indoor time with the family and more time playing your favorite combat flight-simulation – IL-2 Sturmovik!! The team is very busy preparing the next update due later this month which will be a big one, but not quite the final one before Battle of Bodenplatte and Flying Circus are considered ready for release. We also continue our work on Tank Crew which has some new features and improvements coming as well. In light of our crammed schedule we simply leave you with some new images of our P-38J-25 and P-51D-15 and a shot of our A.I. B-25 from Battle of Bodenplatte! Enjoy!

The Angola terrain contains various bugs, target area wise, referencing missing objects and having sequencing errors. I can't tell if it's the campaigns, because many crashes are sometimes due to the terrain. I plan to fix it in the future, while remaking the heightmap and tiling from scratch. Thinking about it, the GroundFormation.DLL should have to do with the formation of ground units during air-to-ground missions. Most likely the campaign .ini files reference a wrong/missing GroundObject.

ahem...in the free 3ds models from Alpha....needs a lot of work...everything is there...gears etc...just needs a lot of polys welding...etc etc....3ds tends to seperate polygons from each other...smoothing reveals how many meshes are intact...a lot are...but some meshes need rejoining....if someone wants a project...im too busy atm...mebbe after xmas This pic after I smoothed out some meshes...and re orientated the model to SF export position.

VVS Mig-23M found a target flying at high altitude and fired a single AA-7A Apex missile. The enemy F-4E tries to evade the missile but at high altitude its maneuverability is limited... AA-7A hit and destroyed the target

Other shots of the Moon terrain. The environment system has been tweaked to allow for stars to appear even during daylight hours. Unfortunately, the stars are the same as seen from Earth, and a day lasts 24 hours as if it was Planet Earth. At least the gravity is correct. And "here" we have blue-ish sunsets... orange skies... hmm...

I seem to remember that TK announced SF2:North Atlantic with the F-14 as the showpiece and then TMF revamped their F-14 which must have cost TK some sales especially with some unkind comparisons. After that, TK announces a proposed Expansion No.3 showing us screenshots of the Mirage F.1 and then, guess what? The existing (BPAO) Mirage F.1 suddenly gets a revamp and we never heard about Expansion No.3 after that... There's nothing wrong with revamping an older model but the timing was harsh on TK.

Only the APG-71 had synthetic aperture radar for air-to-ground; the AWG-9 equipped Tomcat had basic software, CCIP and rudimentary air-to-ground support, which is represented. However, even with the APG-71, the game's avionics file that allows for the air-to-air modes used by the F-14 (AvionicsF14A.dll) does not allow for air-to-ground modes to be used. Avionics70 does, but does not allow for true track-while-scan/multi-target engagement, so we used AvionicsF14A. The problem is not the mod, it's how the game handles avionics. If it ever gets updated (which I strongly doubt it will), and it allowed both the air-to-air and air-to-ground modes of the APG-71, you can bet we'd update the mod to add it. As it stands, it cannot.

Douglas EB-66C Destroyer Update Pak (Ver.2) 8/16/2019 = For SF2, Any & All = This is an update/upgrade/Remod of my 2013 pack. This is considered to be "version 2.0" of the EB-66C Destroyer ELINT/Escort Jammer aircraft. It it designed to replace, in total the earlier package from August 2013. If you have the original pack, you are instructed to delete it completly (aircraft, decals, and all), as this one has some major imporvements. This remod pack contains 2 skins: 41st TEWS, 355th TFW, PACAF, Takhli RTAFB, mid-60s thru 1974-ish (RC tail code) 39th TEWS, 36th TFW, USAFE, Spangdahelm AB 1969-73 (JN tail code) Both are new, and are (hopefully!) in the correct SEA 3-tone camoflague colors. All NEW replacement serial number decals were created. Both skins use a pool of 36 100% historical serial numbers. As only 36 of these aircraft were built (in one block of 30 and a second of 6) it was a easy job. While totaly accurate in nature, the 36 numbers are not representative of individual aircraft of any unit or squadrons that used the EB-66C (other than by random happenstance). Decal randomization is TRUE. As with the other B-66 mods, a heavily edited cockpit designed to 'fit' within the existing canopy framing is included. Avionics have been upgraded with new jammers, chaff dispensers, and so forth. This aircraft carries =NO= offensive weapons, or defensive guns. FLY ACCORDINGLY!!! A small modification to the data ini also allows for carrying external jammer pods & chaff dispensers in place of the drop tanks. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them! See "Change Log" in the Notes section for a full-ish list of what's been, well, changed! Happy SAM Dodging!! Wrench Kevin Stein
