Arriving over Khe Sahn Wingo gunning troops in contact. I'm sitting on the ground by now with the rudder gone and lots of holes in the bird just off the opposite end of the runway. Forgot what key was mapped to shut the engine off. Last pass over the target area, NVA gunner got me good. You can see the smoke in the distance.

Quick update - saw often times there would be deep skid marks along these, so made a shot at that and updated panel connectors...

Thank you Nightshade, appreciate that consideration but I always prefer to scratch build. I'm still waiting for some reference info, but thought I'd mock something up so the team can react to before I return next week. Here was an initial pass - of course eventually I would still need to adjust speculars/lighting and optimize the bump maps but you get a general idea of the initial form, colors, etc. It is a single strip about 90m wide and ~1345m long so need guidance on those dimensions and welcome any other changes needed.

In the end, I reworked that blurry image of the ADTW marking into a decently enough decal. I also reworked number decals. This is the final result.

This terrain now uses the 250 meter resolution as described here.... http://combatace.com/topic/89389-kamchatka-250m-version-with-adjusted-tileset-etc/ Thanks Stary. Please be aware that due to the terrain resolution, number of objects etc this terrain may take a while to load or not even run at all...Reading the README's is vitally important..!! What's new ? We now have seasons but the winter version dose'nt have snow as I cant seem to get it right. Quite a few new tiles and tod's for the new airfield layouts by myself. Lots of new objects including several complete RAF style airbase layouts made by myself. I have included a few ground object files, some downloaded from here [ships] and some made by myself [RAF trucks and radar etc] but to make sure everything shows I would get just about every UK ground object you can from the CA downloads section.....there are just too many for me to add to the file and keep its size fairly small. FINALLY a big "THANK YOU" to EVERY body that has made any mods for the SF2 series..........there's a good chance some of you work is used here ....Thanks again.

Here's my fictional mod of the export version of the PZL-230 belonging to the Ukrainian Air force. The original aircraft and templates were made by @Leopardo. It uses mostly weapons available in the RSSW pack by @Snailman. Five skins are included: green camo based on a historical Su-25 livery grey camo based on the original skin available with the PZL-230F green splinter camo based on a modern Ukrainian Su-25 livery blue splinter camo based on a Ukrainian MiG-29 camo by @EricJ grey pixel camo based on the 299BRTA Su-25 livery To install, copy the contents of the 'to mod folder' into your mod folder. Overwrite when asked - I modified some of the weapons to make them work with this aircraft. Read the Knowledge Base for more information about installing mods. The contents of this pack are subject to the Combatace Freeware License and cannot be distributes as payware.

Some of the piccies were taken when one of Ray's 2019 planesets was loaded. If you want to try them you need to make sure that Ray's 2019 planes have been installed on your PC. Check your UAW160 folder. If they have been installed then there should be an "ALT PLANES" folder in your "Aircraft_Inventory" and a "SWOTL-Late" folder in your "Planesets" folder. I posted a link to the installer in a thread in the SimHQ EAW forum. Right-click on the link below and open it in a new tab to see the post with the link in it: Link in a SimHQ Post Jel

Wrench, if you can wait for a while until after the Thanksgiving Holiday I'm sure I could build you what you need if you're interested. I'm already working on an improved dirt airstrip (still work in progress) as a special request so wouldn't be that much trouble.

The context of the 1967 embargo was as follows: DeGaulle imagined that he could decide of war and peace in the Middle-East by selling weapons to both sides. In case of war, he thought that after 1 week of war, Israel would come to him asking weapons and replacement parts and in his infinite goodness, he would grant them weapons in exchange of a cease fire or peace agreement : this would have greatly strengthen his prestige and position in the Middle East. So when the war started, he embargoed. That was a nice plan but unfortunatly, 6 days is less than one week and Israel (which was at the same time negociating with the US) did not need their Mirage. DeGaulle was felt humiliated and had veryu bad word toward Israel. Israel answered : we do not need France any more. Of course, this was public, but in the background, France still wanted to sell weapons and Israel wanted the Mirage 5, so selling planes and blueprints and telling that they were stolen was a good way to keep everybody happy. "Business as usual" : the french were selling at the same times to Israel and her ennemies. Add to this that if DeGaulle was for the embargo most french were against, starting with Marcel Dassault (alias Marcel Bloch, who was jewish). Indeed, Israel had "legally" acquired the blueprints, which they had anyway before the 6 day war. It was known several years after that Israel was assembling their Nesher based on a lot of Mirage parts which were manufactured in France: When Argentina checked the Dagger, they saw that most parts of the structure had been built by SNIAS (now Airbus France) in continuous serial number. Also, several US C130 flew frequently from Blagnac to Israel with Mirage V parts. between 68 and 70. Things got bad between Dassault and Israel with the Kfir, because Dassault was very unhappy to see this aircraft compete against the Mirage : business as usual. Also, when Israel could buy A4 and F4E, the interest for french jets was much lower, not even thinking of F16 / F15 ...
