    Battle of Britain 2 Terrain Operation Seelöwe ***************************************************** This mod is made for SF2E. ---------------------------------------------------------- I. Battle of Britain 2 terrain Operation Seelöwe is a complete rework of my Battle of Britain terrain from 2009. It is completly new tiled, to give it a much better look. Each tile has now a size of 1024x1024 pixel, what is 4 times higher than in the old terrain. The terrain is made with "Operation Seelöwe" in mind. This operation was a german military plan from 1940 to land with strong forces on english soil. This operation was planed in a timeframe from summer till early autumn 1940. Thatswhy i made no seasoned tileset. To simulate the ground battles after the german invasion i set some german beachheads on the map, so that now CAS missions can be flown. The area of Londow along the river Themse is new tiled by using satellite images. To hold the frame rate of the game as high as possible, i made the rivertiles not as tga files, but as ordinary jpg files. Thatswhy you will not find waves and reflexions on the river Themse and the most other rivers in this terrain. The City of London is populated with house blocks. So is is destroyable by bomb raids. The airfields in Britain are made by using old air footages from WW2. The design of the german bases is fiction. I was not able to find air footages from 1940 for this airfields. Please make sure, that your bombers have the setting MinBaseSize=MEDIUM in their data.ini of the plane. Otherwise the bombers will also use fighter bases. At the moment Battle of Britain 2 terrain contains 312 target areas. Some target areas are named PQsomething. PQ comes from the german word "Planquadrat", which is in english "grid". I decided to use the term PQ to simulate german planningmaps. The terrain comes with two new nations. First the Luftwaffe of the Third Reich and the fictionary Deutsche Luftstreitkräfte of the Republic of Germany. Both nations have own insiginas, which you can select for single missions. The swastika i made only in a "camouflaged" version, because in Germany it is not allowed to handle this symbol in a game. I have also moded the missioncontrol.ini file. Now the planes are closer to their base when they start a landing approach. The terrain comes with 3 campaigns. No.1 is Operation Seelöwe, the german invasion in Britain in late summer 1940 No.2 is the so called Nonstop Offensive, the british air strikes over the Channel in 1941 No.3 is Operation Seelöwe in 1956 with a fiction Republic of Germany as invader.     esto es lo que hay por el momento, plantilla tiene una blanca pero los tonos de azul negro ya los pinte, el azul oscuro completo sirve para los modelos franceses, y quizás algún modelo anaranjado para blancos de misiles. Nunca se resolvió el problema de cabeceo /alabeo ya que utilizo el data del B-24 Liverator, artilleros de los laterales no disparan ( o nunca tuvieron la oportunidad como en el video). El cokpit es el clásico de b-17 con algunas texturas nuevas, El armamento aparte de los bombas misiles Bat , bombas comunes igual que un b-24, desconozco si se utilizaron torpedos o otro armamento especial

    I'm working on a minor update. First: correcting the typo in folder Groundobjects, which must be Groundobject. Second: tactical numbers for the tanks, beginning with the german vehicles: Third: i try to mod the missionscontrol.ini file in a way, that the Hurricanes does not crash a half squadron while takeoff. Me-109 and Spitfire does not have this problem. Dont know why.

    another request (sorry!) are these on your radar anytime soon? M109A6 Palidin 155mm self propelled howitzer and its supporting M992 CAT ammo carrier we have a M109 model way back in the archives of SF1 land, but its wrong for the more modern era (short barrel, incorrect body shape) i do have a certain history with these, having gone to Kosovo in 2000 with a Field Artillery battalion. so green would be nice too

    Update: I forgot to mention in readme there is optional "icky green" textures set in it's folder for those who find this shade of blue not to their taste. Matter of copying that one into main cockpit folder and overwriting This is fairly detailed cockpit representing somewhat "generic" MiG-23 interceptor cockpit. Fits well or "close enought" MF ML MLD etc interceptors series 1 and series 2 of Floggers.     Soko G-4 Super Galeb by ID(io)Ts TEAM Soko G-4 Super Galeb is single-engined basic/advanced flying and armament trainer with light attack capability,powered by one DMB (Rolls-Royce/Bristol Siddeley) Viper Mk 632-46 turbojet . The aircraft was meant to be the advanced trainer for the former Yugoslav Air Force , substituing the elder Soko G2 "Galeb"in early 80's.The aircraft is usually compared with other planes of the same type like Bae Hawk,Alpha Jet , although it is smaller and lighter . It has never exceed the speed of 921 km/h at 11,000 m and maximum level speed "clean" 920 km/h at 6,000 m .Despites the nickname"Super Galeb", the aircraft is completely different from the elder Soko G2. The good aerodynamic qualities are obvious in many airshows proving a very friendly and easy control of the airframe, between -4.00 and +8.00 G ,besides the semplicity and the durability. The main armament of the aircraft is composed by rockets, bombs, cluster bombs, droptanks and the specific gun pod using Gsh-23 cannon.Some references talk about a special recon pod mounted, which permits at the aircraft to be used in recon missions. The G-4 saw many combat missions at the beginning of the Yugoslav wars, used like light-attacker. In total there were three Super Galebs shot down with pilots safely ejected. During the Kosovo War the G-4 was used in few combat missions attacking the KLA positions in Kosovo at treetop level without loss, proving the high qualities of resistance to light SAMs and ground fire. However, seven G-4 aircraft from the Lete?e Zvezde display team were destroyed in an underground tunnel at Golubovci Airbase, afer lasr guided bombing. In the early 1990s the G-4 was a contender in the Joint Primary Aircraft Training System program in the U.S and was highly praised by American test pilots who flew it. It lost the bid to the Raytheon/Pilatus entry, which became the T-6 Texan II.the only export order made for the aircraft was for six planes by Myanmar VERSION 1.1 due to inconvenient issues about shadows, we revised the max source file and deleted the .shd file from the game.     I'm working on a report about Bessie Coleman and I keep coming across how an Ace helped her out. I can't find anything that said who they were. It just said she found an Ace near France that helped sharpen her skills. Since, she was black I would figure the Ace would be black therefore I'm coming up with Eugene Bullard a WW1 French Ace that died in New York 1961. So history buffs is there a way to verify who the Ace is? I also have William Robinson Clarke and Ahmet Ali Çelikten all are Aces that could have taught Bessie Coleman her additional skills.

    forgot that bit....I installed both usually work in 64 bit one then export in the 32 one.. win 10 64 doesnt like 32 bit 3ds max so has to run it by making shortcut of 3ds max shortcut to run odd but works..run it from normal shortcut and max crashes...weird

    Ive put a old SFP1-style RWR on the MIII pit clock face Looking in your inis... find the accelerometer texture name and set it as the RWR texture name in the avionics ini Rename your RWR texture accordingly Pit ini RWR entry is OK

    By default its not implemented, it uses the Avionics70.dll so you can engage one target at a time. If you change the dll to AvionicsF14A.dll you can engage multiple targets at one time. All you need to do is change the line in the main ini, such as the FA-18A.ini, and so on.

    Hi Gepard, amny thanks for this truly outstanding work. may I report a small glitch: the ground object-folder is is labelled "groundobjectS" (plural S), when it should be "groundobject" (singular, no trailing s) for sf2, so that these objects may show up in-game. cheers sokol

    One of the best looking terrains I've ever seen. Congrats Michael! OTH -- and NOT your fault -- a lot of our BoB era aircraft will be needing updates the /FlightData/ and possibly engine sections of their data inis. Due to the "formation takeoffs", I lose between 1/4 and 1/3 of flights on take; stalling out and crashing. It's a known problem with that style of take off -- even when used whit early jets (Sabres, T-jets, etc) there's a lot of stallouts. I'm looking into some "easy" cheats to improve this. The Hurricane has always been a bit "off" speed wise I've thought. (I mean, WHAT aircraft climbs at 42% throttle??? Shouldn't be less then 70%)

    Lockheed Starfighter F.3 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a simple mod of the stock F-104G to create a fictional Starfighter F.3 in service with the Royal Air Force in the 1980-1991 timeline and it includes markings for No.29 Squadron and No.56 Squadron with 18 contemporary serial numbers shared between them. BACKSTORY Delays in the UK's Tornado ADV programme lead to the RAF upgrading 38 Lockheed Starfighter FGR.2's to a new F.3 standard featuring the uprated J79-GE-19 engine (developing 12,000lbs dry thrust and 17,900lbs with afterburner) and the improved NASARR R-21G/H radar with moving target indicator and continuous wave illuminator for the Skyflash semi-active radar homing missile. Entering service with No.29 Squadron in 1980 the Starfighter F.3's remained in service until 1991. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the StarfighterF3 folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the StarfighterF3 folder into your Decals folder. That's it!     I, personally, find THAT statement highly insulting. I don't have to tell any long term members what I've gone through to bring out the best and most accurate product within the (serious) limitation of the game engine. Terrains for EVERY era .... BUT... I think we're seeing not only translation difficulties, but a general lack of understanding of the game itself, how it works under the hood, and how long it actually takes to bring out 95%+ accurate terrain map - or any other product. You all know that it took me 2 years for the KAW map so... So... for the first time in my 16 years involved with the SF series, I'm will to give the benefit of the doubt. (those that know me know that don't happen often, or at all)

    yawn my rebuild of Gepard's Isreal2, while not actually having Turkey, they could concievably fly from Cyprus Let us not forget PureBlue's Anatolia map. Would need a lot of reworking (retiling, retargeting) of course. Looks like that's what Stratos is showing. Sounds like a good learning project for a budding terraformer
