    Gwardeiskoye Airfield north of Simferopol, Crimean Peninsula. In 2019 there were romours that Russia was planning to field Tu-22M3 bombers at this base. Its a really big airbase. The base is 60% done and not yet perfect located on the map. Further i changed the textures of the taxiways and parking areas a second time. I does not really liked the old texures very much.

    Utilizing Ravenclaw_007 and teams latest F-4E pack to create the Israeli Airforce specific F-4E variants used in the 1973 Yom Kippur war. There were three separate deliveries prior to the war and due to the variations of the Blocks all sorts of different configurations of ECM antenna, strike camera, slats/ flaps, 'slime' lights, MIDAS4 etc not to mention local upgrades of 'slime' lights, MIDAS4 muzzle mods and slat instillations. Now throw in the Operation Nickle Grass emergency aid aircraft during the war! I have rounded them all up into 3 in-game varients: - F-4E Kurnass - F-4E Kurnass Hard-Wing & MIDAS4 - F-4E Kurnass (73)

    F/A-18 hornet have a phillips screw in the nose? This is really a strange find. If anyone have any idea why the single screw please share it with us. And I think the F-15 have the same.

    Any one out there got some good intell on actuall Yom Kippur weapon loadouts?     I just paint my roads onto the tiles as needed using layers in photoshop, once you get the knack of getting them to join up correctly it really doesn't take too long to do. So far in my Vietnam terrain I have between 15 and 25ish different road tiles for each type of surface.....grass, forest, fields etc etc, the stock ones are way to repetitive for my liking. I never use the TE.....it's waaaaaaayyyyy to much hassel for my simple mind, just paint 'em in PS & load 'em the the good old TFD tool & the jobs done......Then I make the TOD's to suit using Mue's superb Tod editor. Same goes for rivers, not rocket science really.

    Update I noticed by accident while mapping inner wings Some meshes mapping was on wrong areas,so... Intakes mapping mixed up...some on wrong side.....FIXED Some parts mapped weirdly,so,where possible............FIXED Mid wing areas unmapped...........FIXED Some parts mapped to same place......FIXED if you spot something ive missed,let me know its not 100% but close...so thats it for now... Seems to fly ok....and weapons are all working... Have fun

    For the F-31A Mustang II that exists on this site. It's just a simple Mod Eagle scheme that uses the same decals as the base 421st TFS skin. Just drop in the folder and go fly. Just select 421st TFS, 388th TFW Mod Eagle in the drop down menu and go fly.

The skins represent the current scheme used by the RCAF on their CF-188B Hornets. The serial numbers in this skin pack are real one's. (but not squadron specific). I made 12 out of 40 serials the CF have had (or still have) over time. You will get the following skins in this package : 409 Nighthawks 410 Cougars 425 Alouette * Note : I did not touched the model, all files comes from the original pack. All i did was to rename some files and creating/modifying some of them. So all credits goes to the persons above.     This is intented to be use on the CF-18_07 made by dtmdragon : I just redone the lines, rivets and added some minors lettering along with changing the fuselage roundel for the current one.. Just drag and drop on the appropriate folders. Just copy what's in the .ini files to the original one and change the XXX for the number in sequence.

This package contains three separate year specific aircraft to cover the original aircraft and the upgrades it received in latter years as part of the Incremental Modernization Project: ‘CF-18 Hornet’ is the initial aircraft and covers the period from delivery till 2006. ‘CF-18 Hornet IMP Phase I (03)’ the AN/APG-65 radar is replaced with the AN/APG-73 radar, the AN/APX-111 IFF is added, as is ability to use JDAMs and AMRAAMs. This covers the period from 2003 to 2007 ‘CF-18 Hornet IMP Phase II (07)’ this includes the integration of the Joint Hemet Mounted Cuing System, the ability to carry the Sniper XR targeting pod and an upgrade to the aircrafts ECM jammers. This aircraft covers the period from 2007 till 2017+. There are overlaps in the operational dates due to the time each upgrade program took to do the entire fleet. You can use the single mission editor to select a Laser Guided Bomb Attack loadout or the Mixed LGB/AMRAAM loadout used over Libya. I have used the Mirage Factory CF-18 from the SF2 NATO Fighters 4+ Mod as the base for this Mod. Any errors or mistakes are entirely mine. What you will need first: For the F-107A: Strike Fighters 2/Vietnam/Europe - One of these are needed to provide the wing fuel tanks, some decals, and an F-105 cockpit. (Optional) Strike Fighters Project 1/Strike Fighters Gold/Wings Over Vietnam/Wings Over Europe to provide the F-104 cockpit. The F-107A will currently not work properly with Strike Fighters 2:Israel or Wings Over Israel (13 Jan 10) due to lack of a compatible cockpit, some decals, visual effects, sounds, ejection seat and fuel tanks from the F-100D. Aircraft Information (F-107A): From Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_F-107 The North American F-107, nicknamed "Ultra Sabre", was North American Aviation's entry for a United States Air Force tactical fighter-bomber design competition of the 1950s. The F-107 incorporated many innovations and radical design features, and was based on the F-100 Super Sabre. The competition was eventually won by the F-105 Thunderchief, and the F-107 prototypes ended their lives as test aircraft. The F-107A was originally designed as a tactical fighter-bomber version of the F-100, and was entered into a competition sponsored by the Air Force. Originally designated F-100B, the aircraft featured a recessed weapons bay under the fuselage, as well as an all-moving vertical fin and a control system which permitted the plane to roll at supersonic speeds. The aircraft's most distinguishing feature is its Variable Area Inlet Duct, mounted in an unconventional position directly above and just behind the cockpit, which automatically controlled the amount of air fed to the jet engine. The air intake was moved from the chin position (an arrangement later adopted for the F-16) to the unusual dorsal location as the USAF had required the carriage of an underbelly semi-conformal nuclear weapon. The original chin intake caused a shockwave that interferred in launching this weapon. The implications this had for the survivability of the pilot during ejection were troubling. It also severely limited view to the rear, although this was not considered terribly important for a bomber aircraft, it is notable during an era when it was assumed air combat would be via guided missile exchanges outside visual range. Extensive design changes resulted in its redesignation from F-100B to F-107A before the first prototype flew. The F-107 was never given an official name, but was sometimes informally called the "Ultra Sabre," referring to North American's earlier fighter designs, the F-86 Sabre and the F-100 Super Sabre. The flight crews referred to it as the "Man Eater," in reference to the position of the air intake directly above the cockpit. The designation "F-107A" was the only one assigned to the aircraft, though "YF-107A" is often used in publications. (F-107C): The F-107A had been chosen for development vs the F-105 and had started to be used extensively in Vietnam in 1967. Israel does not do the preemptive strike as originally planned in 1967, and therefore what would have been the SiX-Day War instead draws out into a much bloodier conflict. During that conflict, a nuclear weapon is detonated, touching off a small exchange of nuclear weapons, contained within the middle east area. As a result, most of the oil fields are contaiminated, and the global economy suffers a depression as a result. The US government is unable to generate the revenue needed to fully fund the F-14/F-15/F-16 programs. Instead, it invests in technological and engine improvements to existing designs, resulting in the F-107C instead of the LWF program, with the F100 engine, a new canopy and avionics. Notes and Limitations: Part of the SWOTUSAF series of aircraft. Because the real aircraft never proceeded beyond the prototype stage, loadouts, mission capabilities and operational paint schemes are projections only. 3 skins are provided for the F-107A the original prototype scheme, a natural metal scheme, and a Vietnam era scheme. An F-16 style scheme was designed for the F-107C. Because this aircraft was in competition with the F-105, we projected that it would have taken over the Thud's role in Vietnam, in addition to the air superiority/interceptor role the original F-100 was designed for. So loadouts reflect this. The aircraft refers to some decals, visual effects, sounds, ejection seat and fuel tanks from the F-100D. The cockpit is based on a single engine fighter with a radar using the J75...either the F-104 or F-105 works fine...it defaults to the F-105 cockpit. You will have to install any other cockpit yourself. The FM is mainly based on the F-100D, and so shares that FMs limitations. The real test article reached 2.35 Mach...this model has gone up to 2.2 Mach in level flight. Animations for the canopy and air refueling probe use Animation control keys 1 and 2. Check your Controls page to figure out what keys you need to hit. This is FREEWARE only, NO money is allowed to be made on the contents of these files, in whole or in part.
