By the pics, they are not of the same radar or simply not of the same version. Different main reflector design, auxiliary antennae (IFF?) and so on.
Anyway they would be a nice addition.

Tupolev Tu-22 (Blinder) Pack for Strike Fighters 2 North Atlantic.
This pack contain many operational version of the Tu-22 supersonic bomber.

Bomb Bay:
All the bomb carring planes have 4 "bomb bays". The first one can carry 24x250Kg bombs, the second 18x500Kg bombs, the third 6x1500Kg bombs and the last one could carry a single massive FAB-9000 or nuclear bomb.JATO:
All the models could carry SPRD-63 JATOs. Even if in reality it was only used in certification trials, all the aircrafts had provision to mount them.
Here you can use them as you like. JATO guns are part of the aircraft and the bottles are set as drop tanks. To activate, press the key assigned to Thrust vectoring down. To operate any kind of gun on the ground you need to have Weapons set to Normal or Easy in Gameplay options.
Start takeoff run and when the aircraft reach 200Km/h, activate the JATO rockets. Burn time is 15 seconds. Discard then the empty bottles, possibly not over populated areas.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
REQUIREMENT:
This pack need SF2NA to work properly. It can also work in SF2 or SF2E but without KD and KPD models.Red Side Standard Weapons Pack by Snailman is also required for the approriate bombs.

INSTALLATION:Copy all the files in the respective directory of your game folder.
"User"\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 NorthAtlanticThis mod will not overwrite stock Tu-22, Tu-22KD, Tu-22PD and RD but hide them from game. To restore them, simply delete the INI inside.

The answer is pretty simple. In the latest SF2 titles and patches, something went wrong and the only form an engine sound is played at normal speed is in PCM format 11,025 KHz, 8bit, Mono. But, if you enter a specific sound in the SOUNDLIST.INI there is no problem.

Try to set them as rockets. Illumination effects as booster or missileinflight effect.

As the current tendency, everything is made toward making you less and less responsible. I can see no need for this kind of things. Is it so hard to use a normal PC, running programs and do your things? Is everyone here going stupid to have an OS to tell you what to do or not to do? A PC that is on a cloud, is no more personal. Only a giant store of permanently unfinished apps that need 3 updates a weeks to fix a thing and bring double the bugs.

Speaking of 3ds issues, I had one the other day. The program is installed correclty on this machine by about a year and suddently it ask me registration key. It sounded strange from the start, but I tried again and gave the activation code... No way. After that it tell me that the program can't do the activation and a windows show me that I don't have the clearance to write the registry key. Something is wrong with Windows lately.

I agree with all the above considerations about the game. -
Well, here in Italy the gasoline price is now around 1,5€/L but 2 years ago in summer was up to near 2€/L. And the annual tax for a small car with a mere 1 liter engine of 43KW and Euro 4 standard is around 110 €.
Good thing is that you can go for 25Km with a liter.

The reason about the engine not working is right here:
soo what I did was I went to the engine line in the dataini and changed the system type jet engine to AH-1G
To hear a different sound you only need to change the "EngineSoundName=" in the [sound] section as said by krfrge. The type of engine SystemType=JET_ENGINE or SystemType=PROP_ENGINE in the [Engine] section, define the kind of engine used and to my knowledge the only ones recognised by the game.

Just a small correction. The aircraft skin was actually made by comrad for the SM model.
