  1. F-5E Early Versions Pack

    F-5E For Strike Fighters 2

    "Early versions pack"

    Version History:
v.1.0: First public release. Early versions without later refinements like RWR.

    DESCRIPTION:

This addon can thank its release to the work of two talented individuals, FastCargo and BPao. FastCargo created the F-5F two seaters and BPao was the man behind the original Mirage Factory F-5E model. I was fortunate enough to get permission to work on these source models, with the goals of marrying the F-5E front section to the F-5F engine and wings which were quite a lot more detailed. It was supposed to be a quick project.

    One year later:
I have completely reworked the F-5E nose, added a lot of stuff on the original fuselage and detailed both original templates to have higher detail textures. Meanwhile Sophocles graciously allowed me to use his superb F-5A cockpit as a basis to build my F-5E cockpit, in which I have also used parts based on FastCargos unfinished T-38 cockpit.

Included is two versions of the earlier production F-5E: a basic version dubbed '72 and an export specific version with a larger vertical stabilizator and spine antenna. This version is dubbed '74L (L for large vertical stablizator).

    Happy flying!

    Mats "Centurion" Liljeroos

    FEATURES:
    SF2 standard external model
    2048^2 textures with normal maps
Realistic cockpit with avionics courtesy of Crusader
FM from original MirageFactory F-5E which flies really good.

    OPERATORS COVERED IN THIS PACK:
    USAF Agressor
    USN Agressor
    Brazil
    Honduras
    Chile
    Marocco

    CREDITS:
Bpao and Mirage Factory crew: Orginal F-5E model and templates
    FastCargo for original F-5F model
EricJ and pappychecksix for original F-5F templates and textures
Sophocles for his superb cockpit work. Every switch is a work of art.
Crusader for his ini file magic, really makes the cockpit and plane come alive.
Paulo for his mammoth decaling work which he allowed me to use. and even helped me by reworking some of it.
Me for cobbling all this together (=texturing and modeling work)
The rest of the Combat Ace community. Without you guys I would never have bothered to make it this far.

    INSTALATTION:
Extract into mod folder of choice.

This by and large replaces the old F-5E by TMF, so you can go ahead and delete the F-5E aircraft folder if you have it installed.

    NOTE:
The _74L version references the _72 versions cockpit folder, so if you aim to use the 74L standalone in some installation, copy the cockpit folder and F-5E_72_cockpit.ini file from the _72 folder to the _74L folder. Overwrite.

    Stay tuned for more Tigers!

    2048*2048 full layered PSD templates

Usable for all the SF2 Blinders. The PSDs are actually named after the KD missile carrier but are identical to the B bombers except file naming. These templates are mostly for creating camo variants, silver textures might need some tweaks but this is a good place to start. Happy skinning!

EDIT: Added the high-resolution bump maps I made out of these templates also, just drop into your Tu-22 directory.

  5. Parani Air Force Pack 1

    -=Parani Air Force Pack 1=-

    ***********************

    *****by Centurion 1******

    ***********************

This pack adds a bunch of nation specifc, flyable aircraft that depicts the fictional Parani Air Force of the 1970s. All the skins are high-resolution and custom made for this. The baddies have never looked so good :) The fighters also have kill markings included.

    Included are:
    MiG-21MF*/PFM
    Mirage 3 called PC
    Mirage 5** called PD
Mirage F.1 (early type, Cyrano IV radar and no RWR. Inboard Atoll pylons included)
    Su-7BMK
    Tu-22
    Il-28

and a skin for the Tu-22KD. The reason for this not being a nation specific variant is I cant make cruise missiles work for other nations than the Soviets.
The MiG-21s are based on the latest MiG-21 pack by Ataribaby and include the "hard" handling model.

*The MiG-21MF have provisions for mounting Matra550 Magic 1 IRMS, because of the poor performance of the Atolls. This was done IRL by the Iraqi air force in the 1980s. If you dont like it, feel free to edit it out.

**Converesly, the Mirage 5s have the possibility to mount WP IRMs and dumb ordnance, like the Libyan Mirage 5D

    Installation:
Unzip to a mod folder of your choice. Suggested to use with Piecemeals excellent Desert 4 terrain.

    Requirements:
    MiG-21s, Il-28, Su-7, Tu-22: Any SF2 title more or less.
Mirage 3 and 5: SF2 Israel (based on the Nesher and Shahak)
    Tu-22KD: SF2: North Atlantic

    CREDITS:
    Thirdwire for making Sf2
The CombatAce community for being very friendly, supporting and making SF2 live on!
Piecemeal for making the Desert 4 terrain, the main reason for me making this pack
Me (Centurion): Su-7BMK templates. Skins. Misc tweaks.
Ataribaby, Paladrian, Spillone104,Howling1,Klavs81,Wrench,Lindr2,Zdenek Kussior, 4plus: MiG-21 pack (cockpits, data tweaks, sounds etc)
    Soulfreak: MiG-21 templates
    LudoM54: Mirage temps
    Flogger23: Il-28 and Tu-22 temps
    Stary: Su-7 and Il-28 cockpits
    Lindr2 for some weapons
    Ravenclaw for some weapons
LudoM54, Crusader and me and the rest of the F.1 team for the Mirage F.1

  6. Desert 4 Mountain Regions+ Addon

DESERT 4 Mountain Regions+ Addon by Centurion and Piecemeal

Requires Piecemeals Desert 4 Terrain available here:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/14551-desert-terrain-v4/

    DESCRIPTION
This addon is for Piecemeals excellent Desert Terrain V.4 and adds more diversity to the mountain regions by adding several new tileset types. In addition to this, Piecemeal has modified all the city regions to be more diverse and less "square" and also changed movement routes and such. Overall, this makes the region more interesting to fly over.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE
This patch updates the airfield names from the generic D1, D2 and so on to be specific place names. This will break you campaign files!!! Changing them to fix it is a simple matter of find-and-replace-all in notepad, however. Saved files will not work any more.

    KNOWN ISSUES
Two airfields in the mountain regions have flattening issues that I have not been able to correct, if anyone could help us fix that would be great. AI Planes are bit bouncy there but the airbases are fully usable, it is mostly a visual issue.

    CREDITS:
Piecemeal for the excellent V.4 terrain and the city tiling work + data tweaks.
TK for SF2 and the whole Dhimar/Paran scenario.
Stary and JSF Aggie for the tiles used here.
Centurion for doing the cut/paste operations required to bring this together. Minor tile tweaks.

    INSTALLATION
Unzip the whole folder into your Terrains/Desert4 folder.

  7. Mirage F1CE

    Mirage F.1CE

This mod is dedicated to BPAO, nothing would have been possible without him.

This add-on shows the Mirage F-1CE used by the Ejército del Aire.

In June 1975, with tension growing with Morocco, Spain decided to strengthen its Air Force and bought 15 Mirage F1C that were allovated to Albacete AB. In mid-1976 there was still some tension with Morocco and Algerian and Libyan MiG-25 flights on the Mediterranean, which would made Spanish Air Force to purchase ten more Mirage F1C and two years later order 48 Mirage F1C and F1E. The aircraft here represents the first true F.1CEs delivered to Spain, with conformal ALE40 chaff/flare dispensers.

    Specificities :

    - Radar Cyrano IVM.
    - RWR.
    - Chaffs and Flares dispensers.

    Covered units :

    Ala 14, 141° Escuadron.

    Installation :

    - Copy and paste the Objects folder in your mod folder.

    Crédits :

    - Aircraft : BPAO and Centurion-1.
    - Cockpit : Brain32 and Centurion-1
    - Skins : Centurion-1.
    - Decals : Paulopanz.
    - Templates : Brain32, ACE888 and Ludo.m54.
    - Avionics and data tweaks : Crusader.
    - FM : Baffmeister.
    - Interception light : Coupi
    - Missiles, rocket pods and seat : Ravenclaw_007.
    - Weapons : The Mirage Factory.

A big thank to all on Combatace and C6 forums that helped us solving issues we encountered.
Any omission in credits is totally unwanted, if I forgot somebody, let me know, I will correct this.

This addon is and will in all cases remain freeware.

    Released under CombatAce Fair-Use terms.

    Enjoy

Ludo, Centurion and the whole Mirage F.1 Team!

  8. F-105D PSD Layered Templates for SF2

These are layered Photoshop templates for the stock Thirdwire F-105D sized 1024x1024. These are made partially by hand and partially by superimposing modified stock USAF silver textures, so the overall detail is 99% of the default skins + a little extra in the form of new paint chips and weathering.

    Credits:
    Me
Ludo M.54 for initial work (rivets and panel lines)

To be noted i use blending effects to achieve uniform colors a lot so if some layer does not change color if you try a hue/saturation change, that's why. So go instead to Blending options and color overlay. I use this to achieve uniform coloring on all textures.

    Have fun!

  9. F-105D Hill AFB updated skins

DELETE THE OLD HILL AFB SKINS FOR THE UPDATED ONES TO SHOW UP

Updated Hill AFB skins for the SF2 F-105D

This is an update for Daddyairplanes´ Hill Afb Skins (http://combatace.com/files/file/13741-f-105d-hill-afb-skins/) that I did, and are uploaded with DAs permission. The main changes from the previous version are added details and weathering as well as restoring missing rivet and panel lines.

So 90% of the credit goes to Daddyairplanes, I only did a visual tuneup.

    Happy flying,

    ORIGINAL README:

Semi Historical Hill AFB F-105D Skins

The 466th TFS, USAF Reserve, was lhe last operator of the F-105 Thunderchief.
They flew their last mission before converting to the F-16A in 1983. Due to how
long they flew the 'Thud' and their proximity to Ogden Air Logistics Center,
where many aircraft go to be repainted, they flew 3 Thuds in colors other than
the traditional SEA camo. Those schemes (SEA Wraparound, European 1, and a one
off Desert scheme based on the pattern of the first two) are represented here.
Also provided are black tailcode for the 466th ('HI') and 50 black serial numbers.
Sorry only 50 as the Thud was getting rarer by that time. The first 10 serials are
historical with the first 3 being the ones used by the aircraft so painted. the other
40 numbers are redone TW serials spanning FY59-62.

This is not a completely accurate rendition, the pattern is different than T.O. 1-1-4
states for SEA Wraparound and Euro 1. What I did was to wraparound the stock skin, then
swap the colors (as was done IRL). I also did not do the nose art's for the aircraft
due to other commmitments, and lack of time.

    Much credit goes to :
ludo.54m for his templates, which allowed me more freedom to color while keeping the
    panel lines and rivets
Soulfreak, both for the idea and material support with references
TK for the stock bird and decals
the greater CA community for support and education over the years

    Included in the mod are

Desert, Euro 1 and SEA Wraparound skins
my Expanded Squadronlist.ini, which puts 466th TFS as selectable in menu
the Photoshop templates I used to create this mod.

    Installation
unzip the files, copy and paste to the appropriate folders. Allow merging of
    Aircraft and Decal folders. Enjoy

Thank you for downloading this mod!
