  1. USN F-15N Sea Eagle 'What-If' Skin for TW F-15A

USN F-15N Sea Eagle 'What-If' Skin for ThirdWire F-15A

This is a separate aircraft that uses the ThirdWire SF2 F-15A lods. It contains the relevant .ini files to convert it to USN but you must have at least whichever SF2 game(s) gives you the F-15A, such as SF2 Europe and/or SF2 Israel and SF2 NA for the F-14A decals.
It is in .jpg format for SF2.

INSTALLATION: Unzip to a folder/place of your choice. Copy, Move, Drag-n-Drop or do whatever you wish to get the F-15N folder into your aircraft folders. Choose the desired skin in the loadout section. Fly.

I'm releasing this under the Combat Ace Fair Use Agreement. Use it anyway you wish for personal use. For any other use, please contact me first.

If you find any problems with it, please PM me. If you improve it, please PM me a copy.

Thanks to all who are helping me learn to skin by direct involvement and/or by inspiration.

If I forget or miss anyone who deserves credit for anything I release, I apologize. I have no intent to abuse or misuse anyone's property or claim it as my own. Please contact me to correct any error.

  2. RF-86A Korean War Project Ashtray

    Korean War RF-86A for SF2 and SF1
RF-86A Sabre of the Korean War Poject Ashtray.

There is one zipped file for SF2 and one for SF1 in this download package.

Information on this project is and it's predecessor, Project Honeybucket, is schetchy. As gun removal seems to have been personal choice and changed throughout these projects I chose to leave the top four guns inplace as described at one of the few sites with information. Remove any or all guns as you desire.

    Credit and Thanks to:
Zur - for the F-86 model and drop tanks.
yakarov79 - for the fake pilot 3D cameras, photos and project info.
Diego - for Korean War era pilot.
Wrench - for the decals, original skin I adapted/repainted and cockpit mod for the F-86A.
ravenclaw007 - for his F-86 template I borrowed text and other details from.
regula50 - for the correct plane numbers and project info.
FastCargo - for the Fake Pilot.
Geary - for new panel lines, rivets, paint, ini modifications, etc...

The cameras on the SF2 model are 3D .lods using .jpg format texture.
As the .lod's and .jpg's aren't recognized by SF1, those cameras are painted on.

If I forget or miss anyone who deserves credit for anything I release, I apologize. I have no intent to abuse or misuse anyone's work or property or claim it as my own. Please contact me to correct any error.

INSTALLATION: Unzip to a folder/place of your choice. Copy, Move, Drag-n-Drop or do whatever you wish to get the folders into their corresponding folders in your Korean War install. If you don't already have the weapon information in your weapondata.ini file, add it. Run the SF1 Weapons Editor. Fly.

  3. F-86_Sabre_Pack_1_for_SF1

    F-86 Sabre Skins Pack 1 for SF1
    Four F-86 Sabre clean skins:
    1 = 3-tone Desert Camo - Fictional
    1 = 2-tone Desert Camo - Fictional
    1 = 3-tone SEA Camo - Semi-Fictional
    1 = Silver - Non-Fictional

These skins are fairly clean as I'm not very good at weathering so feel free to add your own dirt.

They were made using my F-86 Sabre/FJ-3 Fury templates. They are in .bmp format for SF1 but they might work in SF2 with a bit of tweaking.

They use a mixture of default and other Sabre/Fury skin decals. As I can't release other peoples decals without their consent, you will need to find some of the decals in other Sabre/Fury releases.

There is included a clean skin for those that wish to use it. Just drop it into your existing Tank_F86 weapons folder. Overwrite when asked.

INSTALLATION: Unzip to a folder/place of your choice. Copy, Move, Drag-n-Drop or do whatever you wish to get the skins folders into your F-86 aircraft folder.

    They were inspired by:

    ravenclaw_007

  5. TW RF-51D for Korean War

    TW RF-51D for Korean War

This are a skin and aircraft files to create a RF-51D using the TW P-51D.

You must have the P-51D from the Strike Fighters 2 Expansion Pack 1 for this mod to work.

(If you don't have the TW P-51D and want a RF-51D for your SF2 Korean War install, there's a great one by FastCargo/Wrench in the downloads section.)

The cameras are 2D and are painted on the skin. The skin texture files are in .jpg format at 1024 x 1024 pixels.

    Thanks and credit go to:
Third Wire - for the P-51D model.
Wrench - for the decals and RF-51D original skin I modified.
Me - for creating/painting on the 2D camera's; modifiying Wrench's skin to this plane.
? - I'm not sure who created the 108 gallon drop tanks. They've been around for many years. Thanks to the unknown creator. (Consensus is the F-51D used the 108 gallon drop tanks more than the WWII 75 gallon tanks.)

If I forget or miss anyone who deserves credit for anything I release, I apologize. I have no intent to abuse or misuse anyone's work or property or claim it as my own. Please contact me to correct any error.

  6. AT-6G Mosquito Fictional SEA Skin

    Fictional AT-6G Mosquito skin for SF1 & SF2.
This is a What If SEA skin for Wrench's AT-6G Mosquito mod found here: http://combatace.com/files/file/9082-at-6g-texan-mosquito-fac/
It is Wrench's mod to Bunyap's T-6 Texan. You will need this file for the plane, weapons and decal numbers.

Bunyap's T-6 Texan is a bit old and has a few malfunctions such as a shadow line and no texture mapping for the tires, etc. But it looks good in the air.
If you would like my .psd layer mods to Wrench's template, PM me.

Thanks to Bunyap for the plane and Wrench for the Mosquito mod and templates.
    Any questions, please ask.
    Enjoy,

  7. Korean War RF-51D Photo-Recon

    Korean War RF-51D for SF1

For those of us that still fly SF1, who still enjoy the old Korean War mod and who don't have this photo-recon plane.
(Those round black circular things on the left mid/tail section of the plane are supposed to be there. They are the cameras and they are placed in the generally correct areas.)
(This should work fine in SF2. But Wrench has an SF2 RF-51D for Korea in the download section for those that want one for SF2.)
    Credit and Thanks to:
    Wolf257 - for the P-51D model.
Diego - for the Korean War era pilot.
ErikGen - for the F-80 seat.
Wrench - for the decals and the original skin I adapted/repainted from his SF2 RF-51D.
? - for the P-51 108 gallon drop tank. (Sorry, I don't know who created this but I think it came in an old weapons pack.)
? - I don't know who created the updated cockpit for this model/.lod but God Bless you.
    * - The many who created skins, mods, etc for Wolf257's P-51D that I've borrowed from or was inspired by.
Geary - for the new lines, rivets, paint, cameras, new drop tank skin, etc...

  8. 3 Fictional Sabre/Fury Planes for SF1

2 Fictional Sabres and 1 Fictional Fury for SF1

You will need columns5's FJ-3M Fury from here: http://combatace.com/files/file/525-fj-3m-fury-addon/

This pack contains files to convert the FJ-3M Fury to:

1 - A USN FJ-3B Attack Fury, a fictionalized version of the real USN FJ-4B Fury ground attack variant of the FJ-4 Fury - capable of carrying AGM-12B Bulpup Air-to-Ground missiles; Aero 7D_FFAR Pods; AIM-9B Air-to-Air Missles; various and sundry bombs, rocketpods, etc....

2 - An F-86B Attack Sabre. The USAF version of the above USN FJ-3B ground attack jet.

    3 - An F-86G Sabre. The USAF version of the FJ-3M - 4x20mm nose guns and 2xAIM9B Air-to-Air missiles.

You will need to install the FJ-3M for each of the above planes you want to install. If you want to install all three planes, you will need to install the FJ-3M three times.

    INSTALLATION:
Install the FJ-3M once and rename the installed FJ-3M folder to FJ-3B.

Install another FJ-3M and rename that folder to F-86B.
Install one more FJ-3M and rename that folder to F-86G.
Drop the corresponding folders from this pack into the newly created FJ-3B, F-86B and F-86G folders and overwrite the old files when asked.

To add extra pylons for the FJ-3B and F-86B I used ravenclaw_007's execellent F-86 Bomb Rack weapon from his Canadair CL-13B Mk6 Sabre early or Canadair CL-13B Mk6 Sabre late.
They can be found here: http://combatace.com/files/file/7387-canadair-cl-13b-mk6-sabre-late/ and here: http://combatace.com/files/file/7384-canadair-cl-13b-mk6-sabre-early/. Either one will do as they both have the F-86 Bomb Rack.
They are also both execllent planes and if you haven't flown them you are missing out on two of the best F-86 versions available at CA.

You must install the bomb rack as a weapon. The necessary lod's, ini's, weapon data entries and instructions are in ravenclaw_007's download.

You will need to ensure you have the necessary weapons, ie. AGM-12B, AIM-9B, Aero 7D_FFAR Pod, etc. Look in the *_loadout.ini files to see what weapons are needed. Most are found in common weapons packs or are already default weapons.

Included in this pack are the relevant .ini files to convert the FJ3M. Also included are an FJ-3B skin for VA-146, a real FJ-4B unit and two skins for the the F-86B/G models. VA-146 skin was created by me. The F-86 SEA skin was inspired by Dave's/Wrench's SEA F-86 skin.

Decals are, for the most part, default. They will depend on which SF1 install you put these planes in. You may end up changing some of the numbers.

Thanks to Dave "USAFMTL" Slavens for the idea. Years ago he created an FJ-4B fury from a FJ-3M. I found it at AVSIM while browsing the ancient Strike Fighters section.
Thanks to ravenclaw_007 for the F-86 Bomb Rack that makes the 'B models possible.
Thanks to Zur and column5 for the FJ-3M Fury.
And thanks to all those that have inspired and coached me to be able to do this.

If I forget or miss anyone who deserves credit for anything I release, I apologize. I have no intent to abuse or misuse anyone's property or claim it as my own. Please contact me to correct any error.

If you find any problems with this release, please PM me. If you improve it, please PM me a copy. Any questions, PM me.

  9. FJ-3M_Fury_Pack_1_for_SF1

    FJ-3M Fury Skins Pack 1 for SF1

You will need the columns5's FJ-3M Fury mod to Zur's F-86 Sabre for these skins here:
    http://combatace.com/files/file/525-fj-3m-fury-addon/

    Five FJ-3M Fury clean skins:

    1 = VF84 - FJ-3M - Repaint of pappychksix/Wrench's VF-84 skin.
    1 = VMF232 - FJ-3M - Semi-Fictional Repaint of David "USAFMTL" Slavens' FJ-4B DBF skin.
    1 = VMF312- FJ-3M - Repaint of pappychksix/Wrench's VMF-312 skin.
    1 = USN Blue Camo - Fictional - FJ-3M - Repaint of Mitch's F-86F_German skin.
1 = VMF122 - FJ-2 - Semi Fictional Repaint of VMF122 standalone skin I have but I don't know where I got it or who the original author is. If anyone know's whose skin this is, please tell me so I can credit them. VMF-122 actually used this skin on their FJ-3's. I wanted an FJ-2 Fury to compliment the Navy Blue Phantoms, Banshees, Skyraiders, etc. of the Korean War era. So I downgraded a FJ-3M to an FJ-2.

DECALS: These skins use a mixture of default and other Fury skin decals. As I can't release other peoples decals without their consent, you will need to find some of the decals in other Fury releases. PM me if you need help with these.

For the VF-84 and VMF-312 skins, use the decals from pappychksix's Fury Package here:
    http://combatace.com/files/file/2255-fury-package/ ... OR ... Wrench's SF2 FJ-3M Package here: http://combatace.com/files/file/12233-fj-3m-fury-by-zur-and-co-for-sf2/

For the VMF232 skin I have NO idea where I got the decals to use for this skin. But probably from pappychksix/Wrench's Fury packs. Choose your own.

For the USN Blue Camo fictional skin, use which ever declas you like. I used TW default decals for my skin and probably some from pappychksix/Wrench's Fury packs.

For the VMF122 skin ... I have a stand alone VMF122 skin I repainted. I think I used the decals from this original skin. I used VMF232 numbers, but you can use whichever you wish. The problem is the original skin doesn't have a readme and I can't find where I got it from. Anyone who know's the original author please pm me where it can be found so I can post that information here.

These skins are fairly clean as I'm not very good at weathering so feel free to add your own dirt. To repaint some of these skins such as the VF-84, VMF232 and VMF312, I had to paint over the existing paint to eliminate the old panel lines and rivets. Unfortunately, this means I also painted over the great weathering on these skins. I apologize to the artists of the original skins.

They were made using my F-86 Sabre/FJ-3 Fury templates. They are in .bmp format, 2048x2048 for SF1 but they might work in SF2 with a bit of tweaking. You can of course make them smaller if your computer can't handle the large size. If you have trouble making them smaller, pm me and I'll see what I can do.

There is included a clean drop tank skin for those that wish to use it. Just drop it into your existing Tank_F86 weapons folder. Overwrite when asked. Also a clean skin for the FJ-2 Navy Blue VMF-122 Tank-FJ2.

INSTALLATION: Unzip to a folder/place of your choice. Copy, Move, Drag-n-Drop or do whatever you wish to get the skins folders into your FJ-3M aircraft folder. If you want the blue FJ-2 VMF-122 drop tank, you will have to add the Weapondata entry to your install's weapondata.ini and run the weapon editor. Drop the Tank_FJ2.bmp and Tank_FJ2.lod into your weapons folder.

    They were inspired by:

    Dave
    Wrench
    pappychksix
    column5
    paulopanz
    ravenclaw_007

  10. SF2 YAP F-100F Fuel Probe Shadow Line Fix

SF2 YAP F-100F Fuel Probe Shadow Line Fix

This mod is for the payware YAP F-100F Super Sabre.

    Thanks and Credit go to:

yakarov79 - for creating this new, shadow free fuel probe. Thank you Jarek.

FastCargo - for creating the FakePilot.

This mod uses the Fake Pilot method to fix the YAP F-100F shadow line.

A .psd file is included if you wish to repaint the fuel probe. It is currently painted in the USAF SEA paint scheme.

This will not work in SF1.

    Installation:
Drop the F-100F and FakePilot folders into your installation's Pilot Folder.
Back up your F-100F_Data.ini file in your aircraft F-100F plane folder and overwrite it with the provided F-100F_Data.ini file. (This file hides the old/original fuel probe and adds the new fuel probe to the plane.)

That's it. The fuel probe shadow line is gone.

If I forget or miss anyone who deserves credit for anything I release, I apologize. I have no intent to abuse or misuse anyone's work or property or claim it as my own. Please contact me to correct any error.

  11. SF1 F-86 Sabre/FJ-3 Fury Lines and Rivets Templates

Redrawn Panel Lines & Rivets for SF1 Era F-86 Sabres and FJ-3 Furies.

This is a .psd file at 2048 x 2048 pixels. You MUST have a software program that allows you to modify .psd files, such as Photoshop or GIMP. (There may be other programs out there that deal with .psd files, but I'm not aware of them.)

You must also understand how to work with layers.

The lines and rivets are drawn in pure black but the opacity can be adjusted to fit your likes.

NOTE: This template can be used for skins for the SF2 KAW Sabres/Furies but because of the LOD's the skins are shiny and the lines don't show up well.

  12. SF1 F9F-5 & 5P Panther Korean War Skins Pak

    SF1 F9F-5 & F9F-5P Panther Skins.

For those of us that still fly SF1, who still enjoy the old Korean War mod and who would like some updated F9F-5/5P Panther skins for the Korean theatre.

This download contains the Fighter/Bomber and Photo Reconnaissance aircraft as well as skins.

Because I used Wrench's SF2 F9F-2 decals, you may notice the BuNums referencing the aircraft as F9F-2 models instead of F9F-5 models. Change them if you wish/can.

Most of these old SF1 skins didn't use the decal system. They do now.

I only created a template and repainted over the old skins. The model is a bit old and has some quirks with the paint and decals. You will notice some paint streaks and line deformation caused by these quirks.

    Thanks and credit go to:

    Pasko/Column5/Gramps/Major Lee/Marcfighters - for the F9F-5 & F9F-5P models uploaded by Guest.

Wrench - for the decals from the Wrench/Bobrock SF2 Korean War Era F9F-2 Panther Pak.

Creature - for the hook, canopy folding wings fix.

Geary - for template, paints, repaints, etc...

MultiUnknownSources - for the weapons and pilot.

If you wish to paint your own skins, the template is available for the asking. Just PM me. It is in .psd format.

These skins are in .bmp format and were created at 1024 pixels. They are 3MB each but can be downsized for those of you who can't use them this large.

If I forget or miss anyone who deserves credit for anything I release, I apologize. I have no intent to abuse or misuse anyone's work or property or claim it as my own. Please contact me to correct any error.

INSTALLATION: Unzip to a folder/place of your choice. Copy, Move, Drag-n-Drop or do whatever you wish to get the folders into their corresponding folders in your SF1 Korea install. If you don't already have the weapon information in your weapondata.ini file, add it. Run the SF1 Weapons Editor. Fly.

  18. MD-450 Ouragan Template Redrawn Lines & Rivets

    Semi-HiRez 1024 Templates for Pasko's MD-450 Ouragan

    For SF1 and SF2.

Based on Wrench's original MD-450 template
    .

Redrawn Panel Lines and Rivets at 1024 pixels in layered PSD format. You must have a program that recognizes and works with PSD layers to work with this template. Two free programs, Gimp and Paint.net work with PSD layers.

Opacity adjustable for both lines and rivets layers.

It's and old plane and has a couple of lod inconsistencies such as the lower right aileron isn't mapped correctly but it's the only Ourgan we have.

I have no references for this plane so there's not a lot of detail in the templates.

Add your own paint, dirt and weathering.

I've left Wrench's original skins in the template to make it easier to repaint them.

Thanks to Pasko for this great little plane and to Wrench for the original template

If you wish to paint your own skins, the template is available for the asking. Just PM me. It is in .psd format.

These skins are in .bmp format and were created at 2048 pixels. They are 12MB each but can be downsized for those of you who can't use them this large.

  23. SF1 F-80C/T-33A/F-94B/RF-80A KAW Skin Pack

SF1 F-80C/T-33A/F-94B/RF-80A Korean War Skin Pack

    For Pasko/Gramps/Column5's F-80C/T-33A/F-94B models.
Updated skins for SF1 Korean War install.
Contains Korean War skins for the following aircraft and units:
    F-80C Shooting Star:
    35th FBS
    36th FBS
    80th FBS
    F-94B Starfire:
    68th FIS
    RF-80A Photo/Recon Shooting Star:
    15th TRS
T-33A Shooting Star Trainer, Hack & FAC:
    35th FBS
    36th FBS
    80th FBS
(These T-33A skins are fictional.  I've found very little info/pictures of T-33's in the Korean War.  What I have pieced together says T-33's were used as trainers, taxi's, forward air controllers and whatever the unit wanted or was able to do with them.  I painted these with a little poetic license to match the 3 F-80C unit skins provided in this download.)
These skins are in BMP format at 1024 x 1024 pixels.
These are old models and have a few anomolies such as bleeding color from templates.

    Thanks and credit goes to:
Pasko/Gramps/Column5 - for the aircraft models.
Wrench - for the decals and skins from the SF2 KAW skins pack for EricGen's SF2 F-80C/T-33A/F-94B/RF-80C from which I borrowed.  Also for the original Templates I modified.
PauloPanz - for the 68th FIS skin for ErikGen's SF2 F-94B from which I borrowed pieces.
pappychksix - for original SF1 F-80C Korean War pack skins I repainted.
Muesli / pappychksix(?) - for OD Green Camo skin I modified/repainted for the RF-80A.
Geary - for reworking everyone else's work; new lines and rivets, etc.; repaints; cameras on RF-80A; small tweaks.

If I forget or miss anyone who deserves credit for anything I release, I apologize.  I have no intent to abuse or misuse anyone's work or property or claim it as my own.  Please contact me to correct any error.

INSTALLATION:  You must have Pasko/Gramps/Column5's F-80C/T-33A/F-94B models.  They can be found in the CA SF1 download section.  Unzip this download to a folder/place of your choice.  Copy, Move, Drag-n-Drop or do whatever you wish to get the slin folders into their corresponding aircraft folders in your SF1 Korea install. Fly.

I'm releasing this under the Combat Ace Fair Use Agreement. Use it anyway you wish for personal use. Otherwise, please give credit to those due it.
