40 years
14,600 days
350,400 hours
21,024,000 minutes
1,261,440,000 seconds,
a lifetime,
On march 23rd, 1972, Lt. Dennis Pike ejected out of his A-7 into the night sky over Laos
after flying a mission supporting ground troops that were being overrun by north vietnamese forces, never to be seen again.
He is officially listed as MIA/PD/BNF (MISSING IN ACTION, PRESUMED DEAD, BODY NOT FOUND)
Shortly after that, I was issued his POW bracelet by a group called VIVA (voices in vital
america). They are to be returned to the person whos name it bears upon his arrival home.
Sadly, I will never be able to remove it from my wrist, but proudly I will wear it till the
day I die. My thoughts go out to his family (whom I have never met) and all other servicemen and women who never came home.

yes but also tried rolling it back,
-
but the thing is, they worked not long ago, ive made no changes so why did they just stop working (the joysticks)
-
for some unexplained reason when I try to install any of my joysticks using the game port on my soundblaster live, it tellsme that my game port drivers are not configured correctly. When I try to update drivers, it tells me it cant install them and all the info I can find online says that "game ports are no longer supported". Im not sure if a windows update or something changed things on my end or what, but what does microsoft expect owners of genuine microsoft joysticks to do? Im running xp, sp3, soundblaster live soundcard, using either a sidewinder 3d pro, thrustmaster platinum or a logitech wingman digital joystick, none will work. Im using a modded xbox gamepad or now, BUT ITS NOT A JOYSTICK! Anyone else have this problem/solution?
Please help me as flight withdrawals are terrible to deal with.

nice to see a cat thread here! I recently have had the misfortune to lose two of my cats, one to a pitbull, and then her best friend, dweezel, who just wandered off, he seemed so lost after sweetums was killed, Im still terribly depressed about this, resulting in more sleepless nights than Id care to remember, I often wander the neighborhood at night, looking for him. The neighbor down the street saw a full grown mountain lion come out of the orchard and walk down the street at 4 in the morning the other day, I hope I dont run into him in the dark. I have lots of pics f my cats, maybe I will post some one of these days, as of now, I cant bear to look at them, cos I start blubbering like a child, some tough guy I am,,

What type of NavAids are there? He could be shooting approaches(ILS,ADF,TACAN,VOR,GPS,ETC).
He could also be shooting Touch and Goes. The runway should be long enough for that.
As for weight bearing: Multi wheel aircraft usually have a lighter "footprint" than single wheel aircraft.
If memory serves me right the big 727 had the heaviest "footprint" of all big aircraft.

not sure if im inquireing about sensetive information, but before firing air to air missles, are radio and radar frequencies "zapped" before the shot to "clear the airways" of any jamming counter measures?
-
Sometimes its hard to explain the attitude, the mentality, and in general, the "hutzpah" it takes to be a fighter pilot. I think this song in the video comes pretty damn close.
Get ready for a real wild ride, guys, I hope you like adrenaline,,,,

nevermind, his name is YOSHIHIRA ISHIKAWA
