I would like to make my personal adjustments and additions to these terrains available. I hope a comment here is sufficient.
Currently available:
- NL08_Scrub (Region: Scrub)
- NL10_IslandJungle (Region: Tropical)
I hope to give NL07 Steppe a similar treatment, then probably NL09 Glacial...

This file has been updated today. It was improved quite a bit.

Unlike some other beautiful YAP/RS ships, I am afraid this ship model as it is included in Rising Sun is not what it should be.
It does not have the appearance of the 4-stack Ward, not of a Benson-Livermore either.
It is seemingly a placeholder based on the 1960s Farragut class (King/Mahan/Coontz..), with 4 gun turrets instead of 2, to make it look more WW2 like.

This is some impressive texture work. Well fitting camo patterns, plenty of detail and well chosen colors. Thanks for sharing.

This version of the CATPack Extractor/Packer is from 2008, Currently the last version is v1.22 from 2011.

To create CAT files compatible with SF2, choose CAT format 2 when asked.
CAT format 1 is for SF1.

For most modding purposes it is not necessary to put back a modded file in a .cat file.
You just leave the weapondata.ini in the weapons folder (SF2 mods folder) or objects folder (SF1)

Trivia: There is a bug in SF2 when using DirectX 9 mode. Each plane seems to have one or two parts that disobey the settings for Specular/Glossiness/Reflection. In the screenshot the issue is visible in the outer wings, which should have more gloss. :(

Ah, I missed out on that template package somehow. Thanks for the heads up. So I really should add Boz to the credits. I noticed you added several details in you spanish skin pack. Boz skin being black lines on a white texture. But having layers his template would have made work easier, in hindsight.
Understand the photoshop trick you suggest. Thanks. Yet, The panel lines are fine now in my opinion. I actually reduced the darkness of the panel lines, it seems to match real life photos better.

Though I had to clean up this package extensively, as 70% of the graphics files are not at all used for the cockpit.
Also some files are missing, they are in the Su-27 package.
The same remarks go for the MiG-23 MLD cockpit package.

NovaLogic Terrains
in Full Terrains

I just uploaded a revamped NL07_Steppe terrain to the above site. In this case, I decided to move islands and cities around, to make things more logical and natural. The terrain has a variety of targetareas now. The harbor from Islandjungle was ported over, because an island needs a harbor.
The other two terrains were updated as well.
NL08_Scrub now has docks with patrol-boats, along the river.
NL10_Islandjungle got more populated harbors. Also I did some height-map corrections here.
