Reminds me of a book title - "Death is a Master from Germany" - shudder! I have just managed to shoot down my first FE2b with the Eindecker - see "Reports from the Front" thread.

Hihi - the kind of duell you want to avoid!
-
HPW, to me it seems, that the roll rate of the Albatros D.V is improved - in Campaign that is. Also, I didn't loose wingtips in tight turns anymore. Still not ABSOLUTELY sure, but it feels like it is working in Campaign.
-
Okay, since no one seems to know: you are welcome on my last question, RAF_Louvert. JFM, you should also know it?
-
Thanks you, Slart and Hasse - will give it a try soon.
-
Any trickyness I should care about?
-
Sorry - yes, my question is about the FM. I believe to notice changes on the Albatros D.V in Campaign (better roll rate for example).
-
Von Baur and Hellshade, maybe you went much closer? Cause that helps a lot.
-
Good points for the Strutter - another carreer I never tried, but should do! When does it come out first?

Ultimate torture for Widowmaker - why do you hate the man so much? -
Did you find out, if it works in "Campaign"? I got the impression, it does for me - but how can I be sure?
-
Thanks for the info - I don't have such detailed knowledge of WW1 air combat history. But now: what about my fighter and it's pilot - does no one out there know him?

Estimated mission time not very accurate any longer

Oh, I see. Must check that. Well, if I use "fuel management", I always fill in 150 % of what the briefing recommends, over own territory, and the double amount of what's recommended, if it goes over enemy terrain. That works for me. And the time: you could note it and compare, how much it really gets. Perhaps you find a percentage formula, you can calculate with? -
You could do it like Manfred von Richthofen: fly the Roland C.II first, then change to a Jasta when they get the Halberstadt, or even the Albatros D.I / D.II.
-
British_eh, you can adjust almost anything, like "speed" or "smoothness", to get it right. For aiming and shooting, I recommend to put two commands on joystick buttons: - "Center" command will center your view forward each time you press it - "Precision" command will appear like you stiffen up your body and neck; you can't look around fast anymore, but you can aim much better

...as a variation of the Vikings' spam song in that Monty Pythons sketch? -

Did Widowmaker send you a crate of Newcastle Brown for that vote, RAF_Louvert? But yes, why not shoot down Snipes for a change? I'm with you! Mmuahahahahahahaaaaa!!!! -

It's normal - the flying time MAY be getting messed up by "pause" or "warping" - not sure. But if you want the full real time, you need to go as far as RAF_Louvert: he stops the time with a stop watch, and corrects it in his pilot files. Maybe in P4 we get the right time again. -
Rabu, your's could be a Voisin III (Type LA) ? Was delivered to Russia. But who knows this one - aircraft AND pilot?

I had thought, that Bullethead's craft was a Hungarian UFAG (Ungarische Flugzeugwerke AG) D 1 - no?

do you know the small cafe in ghent, schorle morle (le joure l'amoure)? great little place with lot of nice dames. i'll take you there next time We haven't had much free time yet. We had to set everything up, did flying and shooting training and adjustments on engines and guns. We have been bathing up north in Breskens once, were we also visited the fortress. In a beautiful Café we had Belgian waffles with cream and cherries; that was a wonderful afternoon. I'll keep your offer in mind about the "Schorle Morle" - sounds exciting.

Waldemar, it is a Salamander - but I had posted that already; sorry. Carrick, this should be a Nieuport 11 Bebe?
-
Yeah, must be hard with a wingtop gun. You need to get real close, I assume.
-
Careful, Ras - the Bristol is no problem for us, while it's strange weapon attachment makes it a difficult plane to hit something with. I'd much prefer the DH-2 (but I'm not sure, when it arrived). I started with the new founded MFJ-1, Mariakerke, April 1916.
