Hauksbee!!! Good to see you again, old chap!!! Yes, again and again: forget the title of the movie, everyone - it's NOT about Manfred von Richthofen. This guy is someone else - whished they had used another name, and it would be okay. At least better than "Flyboys".

Mosquitos are beatiful and dangerous - I had a model as a kid. Here are the variants named; and an image gallery: http://www.warbirdsr...C/mosquito.html

Belgian Aviation History Assiciation A good site with many photographies and lots of info. Not sure if this was posted before - so better twice than never I say. Lt. Joseph Vuylsteke in his specially decorated Hanriot Dupont HD1 n° 68 of N° 11 squadron at de Moeren airfield in 1918. At that time N° 11 Squadron was basically equipped with Sopwith Camels but could also line-up some Hanriots. (Van der Merckt Collection KLM/MRA) Farman-Nélis GN3 equipped as a night fighter with twin Lewis machine guns in the gunner's position and a search light in the nose. The all important German base of Gistel with at least 38 LVG C.II bomber of Kagohl I visible, ready for an attack on Dunkirk on 21 May 1916. (Marinekorps Flandern Archive) http://www.baha.be/ WW1 Aviation Photographs are here on that site: http://www.baha.be/W...t_1910_1918.htm Check out the air bases too.

Hellshade, it's mainly the AI behaviour - I do the same with 5 or 6 Triplanes, alone in an Albatros. You wouldn't seriously think, that you could down 6 Albatros aces in a single Tripe? -

Welcome to the wonderful world of OFF, Jack! Best to say goodbye to the ones you love - you won't see them much anymore, I'm afraid. But what the heck; life is short, and there are missions to be flown! You will see big progress, if you had Phase1 only so far - you may have to learn to survive again. It will be much tougher - and much more rewarding.

An excellent video - I posted it some weeks ago. Isn't she a beautiful lady?

Creaghorn, my AI is always set to "Aggressive", to get the most from it - still no way. RAF_Louvert: I can often get a very good fight going up against DR1's, Halbs, and EIII's, while the Alb drivers tend to be pretty much cold meat. That's what I get from all the videos, when Albatros are fought. If anyone would try the same fight against me in the cockpit, he would at least find it very difficult to hit me at all. He might even collect hits himself or get totally destroyed. The way it is now, it's a shame for the Albatros and several other fighters, which were all dangerous opponents. -

Lou, your desert scenario was a wonderful sunny break from our "mud" in Flanders, and the Alpes added more to this holiday feeling - thank you, well done! The more videos I see, the more do I hope for an AI in future, that will use it's flying skills for better and more evasive actions. Those men and aces didn't have more kills than they had, because it was mostly very hard to hit an opponent, who was aware that he got attacked. In my video, the Brisfits stopped evading after a short action intro; and so did those Albatros in your vid - after a good "Ouverture", it turns into a "Turkey Shooting". Will P4 change that to a certain extent? -
I couldn't fool you again - this time I show you a fighter Sopwith Snipe, as drawn by Bob Pearson. You can find more of his art on this website (click the periods and stuff at the left; then click the pics): http://www.cbrnp.com/profiles/quarter1

Well, I started this Part Two with honest intentions. But now, others continue the jokes. Bullethead: But certainly German scouts have some roughly similar way to haze the noobs? I never was a boy scout, so I don't know, but they surely have.

Could watch it with "Internet Explorer", carrick. The problem must be something with my system - a friend could also watch it on Firefox. I have recently de-installed Firefox and FlashPlayer completely and made a clean re-install. It seems, even that did not help - God alone knows, where that problem lies.

We all saw clearly, that England had a second goal in. So I am very glad for the German boys, that they made it a clear 4:2 For the psychological, de-moralising effect of not getting that second goal, English team must held the line ref responsible - I feel very sorry for that, cause I think it does have a very negative effect. English team seemed to be a team of good and very good players (Lampard!), but didn't find their way into perfect team play together. Here in the street, I hear fireworks and Vuvuzelas, and the German-Turkish people, proud of Ösil, are driving through here with constantly honking the horns. A great play!

My god, what a thriller! Was that the "Revenge for Wimbledon"? I wouldn't want to win it that way - it should be 2:2 after the first half. I hope Germany will be able to make one more goal difference, so we won't win with that wrongly made decision. Davy, I don't think, England was playing crap. But they came on the field with maybe too much respect, which the Germans just dropped very early. God, I must go and change my T-shirt now!

After installing the newest update for FIREFOX, I got a little further - now I do at least get an explanation for the crash; it says, my Flash Player had crashed. Edit/PS: it worked with Internet Explorer - thanks for the link, Carrick; great stuff!
-
Tried it again - no way getting in there for me - Firefox crashed down again.
-
??? Seems I have missed quite a lot in my youth? :pioneer:
-
What's this???? I have made four attempts to open this video, and each time, Firefox completely crashed?!?
-
That wasn't me - it must be a fake produced by Widowmaker, as a revenge!

This looks the first halfways solid and sturdy piece of work from Mr. Sopwith. All before seemed nice kites for wonderful flying - but easily shreddered by twin "Spandaus". (Well, the Tripe seems not too badly built).
-
Never do the same joke twice, I say. Did you like it? It seems hard to find pics of the Sopwith Snipe. But there in that link are also some Soviet skins of it.
-
My (very optimistic) tip for the match England vs Germany: 2:1 for Germany. But it may well happen here, that experience will beat youth. It will be a thrill to watch!
-
Thanks; I knew that link and was about to order it anyway, but hadn't found anyone who knew if it was good. There is also a disc by Dan San-Abbott with profiles. Pearson seems to have used much, if not most of Dan-San's long time collected knowledge, but he also seems to have made mistakes, like for example: mauve-green camo on non-OAW Albatros D.III (it was only on OAW built craft - thanks, JFM, for this info). But the amount of individual skins on the other hand speaks for it.
-
Like so many others, this video is not available in my country, Parky. Sony Music is the worst hunter for copyright content - I only wonder, why it is mostly followed in Germany only, while everyone else can watch them.

How many individual craft/paintings are on the CD, Lou?
