  1. in case anyone is interested in these files. Lomac I'm sure has kept most of us out of MS2004 but I'm on a mission so no Lomac until I'm done.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!

My AMC base release includes the following bases:

Beale, Charleston, McConnell, March, Fairchild, Travis, McChord, McGuire and an updated Andrews AFB which has more releastic parking specs from someone that was stationed there

    AMC file

    Here are some AI pics

  2. This file has a the 3 bases above plus Mountain Home, Whiteman and Littlerock.

Dan Swart has allowed me to include his Luke AFB detailed skin. There is also links for the Mountain Home F-15 units 390 and 391. Justin Lambs's Viper packages already has a Mountain Home so it's very easy to load up MO.

Same with Luke, 2-3 skins already out there. I have included some flight plans but not enough.

reconmercs(from SIMHQ) was nice enough to start working on these for me last night. When he is finished he'll post them as well.

as always, if there are any questions please ask, files will also be uploaded at Avsim, Flightsim and Sim-Outhouse.com today.

  3. Well, yeah, you can use microphones and a third party communication tool to talk over the internet.  But text chatting works fine too.

not when your flying in MP. Ever try to call out a base leg and fly :P

If you have Teamspeak invest in a cheap $10-$15 dollar mic. That's all I use

  4. Sorry guys, I've been busy making more bases and flights and haven't been hitting the forums much lately. FS2004 doesn't add any Military AI so we have to create them. They also didn't give us any parking at the military bases so those also need to be created like they did in 2002.

Jinks, you should be able to find the new AFCAD V2 on FLightsim or Avsim. It's different than 2002 as those were txt files and these are now BGL files.

MrMudd, just sent the email. Here is some basic info on how to install this stuff.

First you will need to download TTools which should be found in Flightsim.com under "Must have files."

Download this into a separate folder called ttools. Run the decompile button, it will create 3 txt files. Aircraft, Airports and flightplans.

I believe I have 3 renamed txt file that way you are only editing my military files. Put these into the same folder where your ttools txt files are and hit decompile again.. You will now get a military.bgl

The 3rd one takes alittle more work.

You have to have all the AC downloaded into your AC folder. There should be links for most of my AC in the flight plans but you can edit to what fits your needs. I've seen people use WWII props instead.

Take the BGL's and put them into your fs9/addonscenery/scenery folder.

This is a site has a very helpful "how to" and is where I learned most of this stuff, http://www.jetdoc.com/HLP/helptt2_1.html

I have include my email in the readme so feel free to fire questions my way. I'm very happy to help out one on one.

I also have many other Airbases uploaded to Avsim, Flightsim & simouthouse. Jeff, if your interested I'd be very happy to upload them here.

Sorry Archer, I'm not smart enough to do the auto installer. I am working now with PAI who has that for Civilian Airlines but it will be some time before they do that for military flights.

The biggest task is finding and installing the files needed for AI. I've given you links, you need to do the rest of the work. The biggest task is Justin's skins but they add so much to it.

Any questions, just email me so I can get back quicker.

Jeff, let me know when you have a download section and I can upload or you are welcome to just take those zips and upload.

  5. I'm not sure if you guys have seen my previous releases of some Air Force bases but here is my first Naval Air Station package.

Readme states what needs to be done. You will need TTools to install the AI traffic.

    Norfolk

    Patuxent River

These will also be loaded at Avsim and Flightsim.com I'll be taking down my other links to make room for some more up coming projects.

Will be doing some bomber bases next

  6. The Spangdelham Hog works for some but not others

I can't get my wheels to show but I've seen pictures of others who have the same set up have theirs show, I don't get it.

A-10_Warthog on Avsim. Just a search for Warthog and it should be the second file

  7. I've read on many forums that you are supposed to lock the frame rates around 35. This way your PC can use it's resources in other areas.

I have mine locked at 32

    32. What is the frame rate lock in the hardware display settings and how to use it?

This option is used to cap the fps in FS9 so resources are spared for other tasks (texture rendering, GPS, traffic etc...) than pumping as many frame rates as the system can. Make a few flights with your preferred settings and unlimited frame rates and note the average fps you can achieve, then lock your fps to an amount slightly below that average to keep a smooth flight and best image quality. A nice tool to log average frame rates is FRAPS from http://www.fraps.com

  8. Shocked no one has posted news about this here. Sure every other forum has mentioned so it might not be "news" But this is the BEST current military freeware out there.

    Many says it's equal to Lago's :o
