Hi all! This pack is the follow-up of the adaptation of the VT model from the AV-8C to existing Harrier. .ini files are included to mod the FRS51 and AV-8 add-ons available at checksix-fr.com and column5.us. The AV-8C is of course available here at CombatAce. Thanks once more to the real authors of the "Beasts"...
  2. Hi! I've been dealing with screwed-up terrains on both SFP1 and WoV for a few weeks. Just look at the enclosed pix to get an idea of what it is. Since SFP1 is not updated to the Sept Patch level, this glitch must be related either to the game itself or the hardware. Has anyone an idea of the cause? Any help appreciated, of course. Thanks.
  3. Just my 2 cents about preventing the seeker to track the target... If you modify the "SeekerRange" in the INI to SeekerRanger=0, does it change anything? Hope it might help. 4. Hi, I don't have Internet at home for the moment (I've just moved), so I have to post from work. I will upload a correct file as soon as I get wired, but in the meantime please head over C6. Sorry for the mishap.
  5. Hi! Well, according to Foxendown, the 3rd bloc RAR file is corrupted. Has anyone else had the same problem? After 100+ DL of this file, it's the first time I've heard such an issue. If the RAR is confirmed as corrupted, I'll update it. Thanks for the heads up!
  6. This sure looks great! I guess it could only sound even more immersive with an Hebrew speech pack ;) If it can be of some use, here's a file I've written for my Vietnamese speech pack. Some words are in French, but I'm sure you can find out what they mean :) Help yourself! Dialogues_Wings_over_Vietnam.rar
  7. Hi all! I've been trying to get in touch with Kesselbrut for about 2 weeks, but no joy. Has anyone seen him lately? If someone knows an e-mail address where I can contact him, please send it to me by PM. Thanks for your help.

  14. Hi all! It's been a few months I've been putting together several mods related to WOV and MK2's Aces of NVietnam campaign. I wanted first to create a pack with all my favorite mods, with all the minor INI bugs corrected, that I could burn on a CD for personal storage. But I've thought that others could be interested in this update of AOVN. So I'm considering releasing it as an all-incluvise pack. Since I don't want any trouble, here's the list of the mods included with their authors ( and is going to be included in the read-me file). If you find one of your mods in this list and you don't want it to be part of my pack, please tell me here. Campaign: AOVN by MK2, US squadrons added by Rhugouvi Effects: Deuces Skymods: Cellinsky sky Polak skymods Aircraft: A-1H : MontyCZ & Digital Overload BQM34 : RussoUK2002 xB-66x : Bunyap F-105 F&G : Armourdave, Lansen, Sundowner, Column5 F-111A : Team Vark (wpnssgt, Column5, Sundowner, Hackworth, USAFMTL, Chaser617, Mk2, Tiwaz, Spectre-USA, dwcace, Murphey's, 531 Ghost, Sylle), cockpit : Mike Werner Cockpit for MiG-17 & MiG-19 : SU-17 Cockpit by Armourdave MiG-12F : Mirage Factory Cockpits for MiG-21s : Mago & Badger RA-5C : A-5B by MontyCZ + RA-5C mod by Rhugouvi, cockpit by Kesselbrut, skins by Paul Nortness Fubar512 ÜberAI_V2.0 Vehicles: ZIL by Kesselbrut SEATerrain: Brain32 SEATerrain Deuces SEATerrain Trees Polak SeaMod 1.1 Fubar512 watereffects Vietnamese Speech: Nguyen Dang Hat + Rhugouvi PS: Sorry for multiple posting here, on Column5 and SimHQ, but I want to be sure that I don't miss anyone.
  15. Hello! I've just begun a new mod project following Julhelm's tutorial, but I'm a little bit confused. The top, front and side view bmp files are OK, but when I paste them on the three planes created in 3DS, they all look very blurry. The lines are very thick and it's impossible using them for reference. I've looked for the root cause, but no joy so far. So if any of you has an idea, it would sure help! Thanks .
  16. The nail on the head! Thanks Russ, your tip worked fine!
  17. So, no one seems to disagree about the release of the pack. I've renamed it Charlie's Aces to preclude copyright issues. Available any time now at Check-Six.
  18. Amazing thread! Your modelling process is quite different Mustang's tutorial, but it sure gives good results!
  19. Hi all, I'm gathering several add-ons to update MK2's Aces of Viet-Nam campaign, and some were made by Armourdave (his F-105s and Su-17 pit for the MiG-17 and MiG-19). I'd like to get his permission to use his work in the update, so that I could release it. I've written his PMs here and on Column5, no reply so far. Anyone knows if he's still around?
  20. Recce pilots are the ones whose contribution is the most important towards victory, even if it's a pretty low-profile one. Without them, history makers wouldn't know where to drop their ordinance on what, and without BDA, they wouldn't know if they have to go for a second run. "Unarmed, Unafraid and Overlooked"
  21. I guess you have to look at the F-14A_Cockpit.INI, and search for the lines dealing with the altimeter. You'll find something like Diviser=10000, I can't remember exactly the name, but anyway try to find the 100 and 1000 and change them to 1000 and 10000. The command name is much probably not Diviser, but command names are explicit, and it's not that hard to guess how it works. Hope it helps.
  22. Bombing run

I must say the explosion FX is truely convincing! Great success But I'm afraid you still have to practice to successfully destroy this higly strategical rock. And above all, a nice recce asset for BDA Very promising indeed.
  23. UF_Josse: I've been digging this designator thing for quite a while now (I've tried to turn it into a side-looking recce radar). But many fields in the WeaponsEditor (CameraAim angle, and so on) are just placeholders, TK said. So if what you try to do doesn't work, it's probably because the code is not activated yet. Too bad... Vraiment dommage!
