  1. No but some people see that. If you had Phase 2 installed, or have problems try increasing EFFECTS slider to 5. Increase Aircraft slider to 5.

Also try decreasing terrain or scenery slider.

Also try RESET CFS3 in workshop (loses pilots).

Try settings graphics settings (see FAQ near the top)

Choose another squad or later date if no enemy, maybe there are too few enemy squads in that area..

  2. Hi VF101_KurtStudent

You have ALL your ammo already loaded at the start!

shift+c simulates the reload.. so you could fire 1 drum worth (97 rounds in later Nieups, and then shift+C pretend you reloaded..)

N11 had smaller capacity drums so has very few total ammo

N16-17 have 97 round mags so total is higher.

If you want loads of ammo none historical, put unlimited ammo on in the workshop.

Note guns can jam - short bursts

  3. Aroth if you reinstalled from scratch and still getting oddities then something is screwed elsewhere.

It sounds like you aren't running the OFF Manager properly, or you didn't clean out the old problem one completely first.

    http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#A21

See from "If you have other odd errors:"

Check your drive for errors, right click on a the drive in My Computer, Properties, Tools, Check now.

Make sure you run OFF Manager from the new shortcut

    >>"This time, it wanted the OFF Disc back in the drive as well as the CFS disc."

What does that mean?? When you install OFF it will run, find CFS3 install if you have it, then carry on. It will not want the disk back in if the install has completely finished. Make sure you don't take the disk out early it takes a while to install and unpack.

  4. Thanks Lou.

I think aiming at the center and then correcting is probably the way to go.

What are the sights for? They seem to be a redundant piece of metal that adds to drag.

With TIR you can move your eye and line up on the tracers and hold it there for subsequent shots. Wobbly yes, but in real life you'd also have a 100mph wind. G force and extreme cold to deal with so yes they'd be pretty useless. Use the tracers, that's what they are for.

F6 fixed sights view is fun, but completely unrealistic.

  5. Yes flying at full throttle is not fuel efficient for sure, and also make sure you lean the engine. Also these crates weren't designed to fly at "warp" speed ;)

Warp is quite bad at fuel usage so stop and check often if you use warp.

Feel free to point out to your commander that the mission could be too far for your fuel load and try an alternative target ;)

  6. Hi Krasny

Hopefully when you have played some more over the years you won't think it's such a bad price :)

    1. Change your desktop Aspect to Widescreen setting in "workshop" button (go in there look far left).

    change to 16:10

If still a problem then make sure your desktop DPI is 120 or 96.

Go to your desktop and right click on it somewhere empty, select Display Properties. Click Advanced. Change the DPI settings from whatever it is to 120 or 96.

Try OFF again. It may need a reboot first.

    2. They are there, they start above your field when you take off. Turn labels on, or use the tactical awareness (shift T) to see other aircraft (pres T once to just show aircraft).
