The new installer allows for a traditional install from which you can easily create a JSGME ready mod
-
There are a few reasons I do this:
- I have a single set of nested texture folders that I can use for all 3 DCS versions (release, openalpha, openbeta). This reduces the HDD footprint by 3X.
- I share some files among different skins. This is not only the Su-25T, but all of my skins. This reduces the HDD footprint even further.
- Updating a version will update the file for every skin that uses it. This also makes for easier version control.
- Installing to Saved Games instead of the DCS install means you don't have to modify your base directory as you would with a JSGME mod.

The readme goes into detail as to what ini files need to be modified to make a third party cockpit work. I recommend trying to get your cockpit working with the existing A-6 before trying the superpack, just to see if it works. If it works, then do the same thing with the Superpack. If it doesn't work, I recommend asking on the regular forums, where people are more likely to see your question.

@intruder and Pashey,
Did you install a 3rd party cockpit as required by the instructions? I did not include a cockpit due to intellectual property issues.

Awesome work, Dave!

Awesome! Cue up the Falcon 3.0 music!

Sherriff,
I just checked out your alternate history site. You could do a nice series of campaigns, though you might need a custom NATIONS.INI since alliances are so severely shifted.
-
Sherriff,
We added those squadrons to the SQUADRONLIST.INI for the upcoming CA Realism Pack.
Just download it from the link above (it isn't final, but no existing numbers will be changing) and make the following assignments:
SQN402.tga -> SQN788.tga
SQN403.tga -> SQN796.tga
SQN404.tga -> SQN822.tga
SQN405.tga -> SQN823.tga
Unforseen circumstances notwithstanding, you should never have to adjust your numbers again.

I've uploaded a hotfix for version 1.51 that brings the campaigns and Squadronlist.ini in line with the latest DLC. You can still install this even if you don't have DLC 18 and 21, but it will utilize them if installed.

As a huge fan of version 1, I say Bravo Zulu!

All,
The 1.51 release has one minor bug in that if you try to select the EA-6B in a Linebacker II campaign, it will default to the ICAP I. Please download and extract the following file to fix this.

Haven't had this much fun in a Tomcat since Fleet Defender. Great job!

Spiff,
The A-6 didn't really have a CCIP pipper; this CCIP is an approximation of what is essentially DIANE's CCRP. However, the A-6B had the DIANE system removed in order to put in the additional RWR sensors in the nose. Hence, I removed the CCIP from the B due to DIANE's removal.
As for the SF2NA decals, you can just remove the decal folders A6SP1976, and A6SP1981*. The A-6A/B just use the original A-6 decals and the decals in the A6SP folder.

Yes, but the patterns are identical to the Su-27 so I used the same screenshots.
