The Grumman Tiger was procured in the late 1950s as a hedge against any failure or delay in the F-8 Crusader program. When the Crusader proved a great success, the Tiger became redundant and was quickly phased out of service. It was an agile aircraft and considered to be easy to fly, a factor which led to its adoption by the Blue Angels.

This is an alternate generic US skin for people who are bored with the standard
bluey grey scheme on the F-16.
This is basically an altered version of my Top Gun aggressor skin below - so is not entirely
realistic - but even I can have fun sometimes :)

1. The Ground Radar does not work due to use of the advanced avionics DLL - a known issue that Thirdwire are looking into.

This skin was done a while back now for myself and addresses the following:
 
1. Overall colour scheme darkened.
2. Some detail added to engine nozzles and heat shields.
3. Inside of air intakes are no longer white.
4. Mud added for all those landings on wet country roads :)

Scenery Skin for the SU-32 Export Fullback (Platypus) (Falcon 4: Allied Force)
 
Falcon 4 Allied Force has planes that are unskinned - and until you play the campaigns you don’t realise what a killer this is seeing a bright white jet! Anyway it’s annoyed me enough to do these skins.
 
The SU-32 model in this sim is hopeless and I can’t find where some of the texture mapping comes from – so its limited effort at best on this one!
 
 
 
The following instructions are for installing the skins using LOD Editor: (trust me it ain't rocket science! But you need to be careful)
 
Will see about doing one for the skin pack installer if there is any need.

There are many unskinned jets in Allied Force - and I haven’t got enough years left to make skins for all of them - so if you are that bothered about unskinned jets this is a brief how to on how to convert files for use with Falcon 4:Allied Force.
 
I could just post the skins Ive converted over but they are not my skins – so you will need to do a bit of DIY.
 
 
The process is very time consuming but not difficult although probably not for the faint hearted
 
Guide is in Word 2002 and html formats.

NOTE: The same model and skin is used for the F/A-18F and E/A-18G so we are only installing this once.
 
This skin can only be installed fully using LODEditor I’m afraid due to a fault with the 3D model. Any version that uses the skin pack installer will not have skinned wheels, engine nozzles, pilots and the campaign will still use the unskinned Set 2.

USAF Vietnam Skoshi (Small) Tiger Project skin 2 for the Mirage Factory F-5C Freedom Fighter.(1024x1024)
 
Between 1965 and 1967 a single USAF squadron flew over 9000 sorties with the then new F-5C to evaluate its combat viability. The 3 phase Skoshi Tiger project included Combat Air Patrol and strike missions over North Vietnam - and ground attack/support missions over South Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

The Last Stand
 
December 14th, 1974. Being almost certain that the US wont intervene anymore, the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) launch a full scale invasion of the Republic of South Vietnam.
Defence aid to the South from the US has been drastically reduced and the South Vietnamese economy has all but collapsed. Ammo, spares and fuel are in short supply, and so is the moral of the South Vietnamese people. Your only hope is to hold out long enough to gain renewed US support.
The South VNAF currently have the Worlds fourth largest airforce thanks to the "Enhance" and "Enhance Plus" programs from the US.........
 
 
 
Historical only in the Aircraft, Units and Air Bases used by the VNAF squadrons. Other than that you will be limited to hitting Targets in Southern NV/South Vietnam/Laos/Cambodia only - You wont be going up North - the VNAF never had the range anyway.
 
Only for Wings Over Vietnam SP4 version v08.30.06 - only tested with the default terrain also - but should be no issues adding trees etc
 
MUST be a new install - none of the stock campaigns will work after you have installed this!
 
Read the instructions - they will tell you which jets to download and where from
 
The gamplay file should give you some hints of how the campaign should be played
 
Only parts of this Mod comes under the CA Freeware licencing - read the Credits file for details

You would then need to change the A-1H_loadout.ini.
 
 
 
Played and tested loads but as ever there may be some issues to resolve somewhere.

Upgraded for Strike Fighters 2 - Basic CCIP for A-6A to simulate a DIANE level bombing system.
 
New: Yes we can now add the CCIP and keep the original A_6 radar modes!
 
 
When you reach the target ripple your iron bombs!
 
 
Tested in Strike Fighters 2 Vietnam Version June 2009 only (using the A-6A cockpit from Wings Over Vietnam).
 
For use in later versions compare any changes made in newer ini files first.

The B(I) mk8 was derived from the B(I)mk6 and retains the same Engines, fuel load and loadout. The main change was a redesigned nose and offset fighter style canopy - which was put in place due to the targetting difficulties of the B.mk2 fishbowl style canopy.
 
The B.1 Mk8 Interdictor came into service in 1956 with around 69 being built. Other Later variants also used the offset Fighter style canopy.

The B(I) mk58 was the export version of the B(I) mk8 and retains the same Engines, fuel load and loadout with some cosmetic changes.
 
 
Sixty Five Canberra B(1) 58's were delivered to and flown by the Indian Air Force from 1957 along with eight PR.57 and seven T.4 trainers. Canberras saw combat in the major conflicts (1965, 1971, and 1999). The last IAF Canberra retired in 2007.

The RAF's first bomber, the Canberra, had a career spanning over 51 years on the front lines. Chief designer W. Petter had just joined the design team at English Electric when work began on the Canberra. He changed the swept wings of the original design to a more unconventional design with the engines part way out on, and embedded in, the wing. The end sections of the wings were broad and square, and two powerful Rolls-Royce Avon engines completed the design. The crew of two sat side-by-side in a pressurized cabin. With good fuel economy, and excellent maneuverability at all altitudes, the EE.A1 was an instant success.
 
The prototype was first flown on May 13, 1949, and was problem-free. The first four prototypes were designated the Canberra B.MK 1, and were intended for use with a radar-assisted bomb aiming system. A delay in this system led to the production of a day bomber prototype, the Canberra B.MK 2, and the first operational aircraft were delivered on May 25, 1951.
 
Around 410 B.mk2s were built for the RAF - some saw action in the 1956 Suez crisis.

16 B-57Bs were converted to B-57G standard and used in Vietnam from 1970 to 1972
flying from Tailand for the Tropic Moon III project, and was a pioneer in laser
guided technology. The B-57G had built in sensors such as a low light TV system,
FLIR, and a laser giudance system. This enabled it to carry 4 x 500lb Laser guided
bombs and self designate targets for them. The 20mm wing cannons were deleted due
to the weight of the LGBs. 4 bombs were also carried in the bomb bay (unconfirmed).
Its mission was to hunt trucks over the notorious Ho Chi Minh Trail.

The F-102A was the first of Convairs great 'delta twins'. Its radical shape was unique in USAF service while its speed and powerful weapons capability made it the backbone of Air Defense Command. Its high profile front-line days were relativly short-lived, but the 'Deuce' had a long career which took it to Vietnam and Beyond (1963 - 1969).
