SF2 Israel Hi-Res 1920x1080 Menu Screens and Music! v5 By Viper 05/17/2020 Note: I removed all the nation sounds from this Menu packs for size reasons. If you intend to install the "VIPER63A HQ Menu Sounds" pack, please install that pack first. Installing the HQ Sound pack over the Menu pack may overwrite some of the menu specific music files. You can always re-install this menu pack to get the menu specific theme music back. Special thanks to Homefies and Spectre8750 for their contributions that led me here... This mod includes custom "Israeli" themed menu screens, pilots and music. I used the MENU INI files to reuse the music files for different menus. This reduces the size of the package as I don't have duplicates of the same music files for different menus. You should unzip the file and preview the new screens before installing them. I recommend doing this as there are alternate screens I have in there that you might like better. If you choose to install these screens, I recommend that you back up your FLIGHT, MENU and PILOTDATA folders in the SF2 Mod folder you're installing this mod into. Just in case you want to go back to your original setup. To install, simply unzip and copy the uncompressed FLIGHT, MENU and PILOTDATA folders to your StrikeFighter2 mod folder. 15. Yesterday it was announced that Croatia had chosen used Israeli F-16C/D (Block 30) Barak's to replace its fleet of ageing MiG-21BisD fighters. The deal is reportedly worth $500 million according to media reports and includes 12 aircraft (10 F-16C's and 2 F-16D's), the refurbishment (modernisation), two simulators, weapons and training. The first two are set to arrive in 2020. and the rest by 2022. The three other competitors to the Israeli offer were new Gripen C/D's, new F-16 Block 70's from the US and used F-16's from Greece. The first two offers were deemed too expensive while Greece's offer was unsatisfactory. Croatian authorities have said that they (ambitiously) plan to use these aircraft for the next 25 years at least.
  16. Hi In the book "Israeli Mirage and Nesher Aces" by Shlomo Aloni, I have found the information that: Throughout its 20 years of service, the Mirage III underwent just four major technical changes in IDF/AF service – theintroduction of the ‘holding switches’, replacement of the Cyrano with ballast, swapping the Atar 9B for the 9C and, finally, removal of part of the ballast at ace Kobi Richter’s request in 1977. This moved the centre of gravity backwards, cutting minimum speed from 150 to 120 knots and increasing maximum ‘G’ from 6.5 to 7.3, thus improving sustained turn rates". I would like to create this late modification of Mirage from 1977 for SF2 by: 1) changing empty mass of plane; 2) changing inertia of plane; 3) changing center of gravity position of plane but I need some additional informations which I can not find: 1) have I to change any other data in DATA.ini file to properly reproduce the changes in flight model? 2) what is the mass of Cyrano Ibis radar/nose ballast? 3) how much of the ballast was removed? 4) how much has the center of gravity changed? Please help. Thanks in advance.

File Name: IAI Dagger B File Submitter: denissoliveira File Submitted: 18 May 2015 File Category: Israeli Origin Dagger B The remaining Israeli Nesher aircrafts were refurbished and exported to the Argentine Air Force in two batches, 26 in 1978 and 13 in 1980, under the name Dagger, comprising 35 Dagger A single-seat fighters and 4 Dagger B two-seat trainers. They formed a new unit, 6th Air Group, and were immediately enlisted with the help of the 8th Air Group (Mirage IIIEA) and the Peruvian Air Force, already a user of the Mirage 5, due to the escalating crisis with Chile of that year. During the 1982 Falklands War, they were deployed to the southern naval airbase of Río Grande, Tierra del Fuego, and an airfield in Puerto San Julián and despite the distance to their targets and lack of aerial refueling capability, managed to make 153 sorties against both ground and naval targets on the 45 days of operations. In the last role, they damaged HMS Antrim, Brilliant, Broadsword, Ardent, Arrow and Plymouth. Eleven Daggers were lost in combat (nine by AIM-9L Sidewinders fired from Sea Harriers and two by surface to air missiles). In the 1979 contract with IAI, the Argentine Air Force stipulated that the Daggers would be equipped with new avionics and HUD systems to take them to the Kfir C.2 (and beyond in some subsystems) standard. The program, named Finger, was underway in 1982 when the Falklands War broke out. With the war over, as some of these systems were made by the British Marconi Electronic Systems, they needed to be replaced after an arms embargo was imposed by the UK. The replacement of such systems took the planes to the final Finger IIIB standard mainly by replacing the British equipment with French-built Thomson-CSF. 23. File Name: IAI Nesher T File Submitter: denissoliveira File Submitted: 16 May 2015 File Category: Israeli Origin IAI Nesher T The Israel Aircraft Industries Nesher (Hebrew: ?, "Vulture" - often mistranslated as "Eagle") is the Israeli version of the Dassault Mirage 5 multi-role fighter aircraft. Most were later sold to the Argentine Air Force as Daggers, and later upgraded as Fingers. -Design and development Israel had to replace more than 60 aircraft lost during the Six Day War and the War of Attrition which followed. Before the war, Israel began co-development with Dassault to build the Mirage 5 and it was eventually built by Israel and named Raam in Hebrew (thunder). Dassault Aviation had developed the Mirage 5 at the request of the Israelis, who were the main foreign customers of the Mirage III. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) wanted the next version to have less all-weather capability in exchange for improved ordnance carrying capacity and range as the weather in the Middle East is mostly clear. In January 1969, the French government arms embargo on Israel (in response to the 1968 Israeli raid on Lebanon) prevented the first 30 Mirage 5 aircraft (which were already paid for by Israel) plus optional 20 from being delivered and cut off support for the existing Mirage IIICJ fleet. This was a setback for the Israeli Air Force, who needed the new Mirage to compensate for the losses of the Six Day War and was still using the Mirage IIIC. Israel then decided to produce the (Raam A and B project) airframes as it had the necessary plans, although Israel did not officially obtain a manufacturing license. Officially, Israel built the aircraft after obtaining a complete set of drawings. However, some sources claim Israel received 50 Mirage 5s in crates from French Air Force (AdA), while the AdA took over the 50 aircraft originally intended for Israel. Production began in 1969 with the first empty airframes with no weapons, electronics, seat, or engine included delivered directly from Dassault Aviation. The first Raam A was delivered in May, 1971. In November, 1971 the plane was renamed Nesher. The Neshers' airframe was identical to the Mirage 5, but there was an extensive refitting of Israeli avionics, a Martin-Baker zero-zero ejection seat, and improved provisions for a wider range of AAMs (Air-to-Air Missiles), including the Israeli Shafrir heat-seeking missile. Fifty-one Nesher fighters (Nesher S) and ten Nesher two-seat trainers (Nesher T) were built in all. The Nesher had simpler avionics than the Mirage IIIC but was slightly less maneuverable. However, it had longer range and bigger payload. The reduced maneuverability did not prevent the Nesher from performing well in air combat during the Yom Kippur war. Nesher production was phased out from 1978 to make way for an improved Mirage derivative that had been planned in parallel, in which the Atar engine was replaced by an Israeli-built General Electric J79 engine, the engine used on the American Lockheed F-104 Starfighter and McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II fighters. The result was the IAI Kfir. -Operational Israeli Nesher over the Golan Heights during the Yom Kippur War The first Nesher prototype flew in September 1969, with production deliveries to the IAF beginning in May 1971, ending in February 1974. These aircraft performed well during the 1973 Yom Kippur War, claiming over a hundred kills. Install: Strike Fighters Israel or Strike Fighters merge. 25. Hello, I'm new to this forum and see that this is a truly committed community with excellent mods. I flew my way from falcon, dcs, il2 to strike fighters. I was grounded for several years due to professional reasons. Now, with limited time available, I want more flying and less reading (manuals). I found strike fighters the perfect match! And, I must say...it feels really immersive! It is the perfect combination between realism and playability. I enjoy it! Altough I see it as an early jet era sim. The lesser extend of complexity of those jets are perfect for these kind of sims. That's were it's suited for the most in my opinion. But...I must say that I found the way sf2 works, especially the way it can be modded confusing. I succeded in installing the rends europe enhancement mod, eventually. It is truly great work! However, the Israël mod by Stary is a mistery for me. Maybe I have to explain that I installed both of the games on a different location on Win 7 machine( asus i5 laptop). On my d drive instead of my c drive. For WOE, i could find all the folders, including the so. called mod folders. But for wings over Israel... There is no folder such as the modfolder like there is for WOE! I can't find it! Apart from the original install folder on my d drive. I did what was decribed. Opened the game ones, searched in user/saved games/ etc... I find the folder for WoE but no Israel folder! So, I have no place to put the folders in... I don't understand. HELP! Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
