You should unzip the file and preview the new screens before installing them. I recommend doing this as there are some alternate screens I have in there that you might like better. I recommend that you back up your CAMPAIGNS, FLIGHT, MENU and PILOTDATA folders in the SF2 Mod folder you're installing this mod into. Just in case you want to go back to your original setup. 3. Hey CA! I have always had trouble with the desert 4 terrain... It's an awesome place to play with all the great airplanes available here on CA but I've always had a lot of crashes and other issues on this particular terrain... While searching for a fix for this issue I found a replacement for the first few entries in the Desert4_Data.ini that were buried wayy back in 2014 forums... All credit goes to Dave for this fix... Just figured i would share it in case anyone else was having this issue! just copy this and replace whats in your desert 4 data ini! I uploaded a older E/F pack that was pretty awful to be honest here is a much better redo! Made using the Block 50/52 models now to make it look better in general as well as some updates to the skin! Built using the Greek and Turkish F-16's as a base so if you have those the E/F should work just fine! You should already have all the weapons and sounds from earlier F-16 packs! Happy Hunting in the Gulf! Thank you to the Viper Team and everyone else who has worked on the SF2 vipers or this would never have been possible! Click here to download this file

  6. File Name: F-16E/F Block 60 Desert Falcon Pack File Submitter: Spudknocker File Submitted: 23 August 2015 File Category: F-16 The United Arab Emirates choose the F-16 as its next strike fighter after lessons learned from the 1991 Gulf War In which its Mirage F.1s were unable to fly in due to IFF considerations due to the Iraqi F.1's. The Emirati government wanted an F-16 variant that was more advanced than the Block 50/52 standard and funded the development of the F-16E/F Block 60, and are internally the most advanced F-16's in the world and incorporate 5th generation features such as an internal FLIR/Laser targeting system negating the need for an external pod. More can be seen here F-16_Fighting_Falcon_variants. The Block 60's included use the standard sound files found in all other F-16 packs the only instillation should be putting the aircraft and pilots in the correct folders. Thank you to combat ace and its community for showing me how to skin and build Ini's Thank you to specter870 for creating the original Data INI's for the F-16I. This is my first aircraft mod if any issues feel free to put a message on my profile or change something yourself! Happy Hunting! Click here to download this file

  8. File Name: UH-1H US Army Desert Skins File Submitter: HomeFries File Submitted: 16 March 2014 File Category: Misc/AI Aircraft Skins Us Army Desert Skin Pack This is a collection of UH-1 desert skins for the US Army circa 1986 and Fictional skins ca. 2004. While the 101st Airborne and 10th Mountain Divisions are the unit patches on the flightsuits, the skins do not specifically represent these units. Rather, this is a collection of skins with minor variations in order to create good scenarios using the desert terrain (either Highwayman-Ed's terrain, or Nevada upon its release). A note about the Crew Chiefs & Door Gunners: Since enlisted US troops don't wear rank/rate insignia on flightsuits, their rank/rate is displayed on their nametag. Since there are no specific nametag textures for the crew chief/door gunner texture, I have added a nametag to the velcro on the chest armor (as is standard practice). In choosing names for the textures, I opted for US servicemembers who received the Medal of Honor. SFC Paul Smith received the Medal of Honor posthumously in the Global War on Terror, and represents the United States Army in these skins. Here is his Medal of Honor Citation: Sergeant First Class Paul R. Smith distinguished himself by acts of gallantry and intrepidity above and beyond the call of duty in action with an armed enemy near Baghdad International Airport, Baghdad, Iraq on April 4, 2003. On that day, Sergeant First Class Smith was engaged in the construction of a prisoner of war holding area when his Task Force was violently attacked by a company-sized enemy force. Realizing the vulnerability of over 100 soldiers, Sergeant First Class Smith quickly organized a hasty defense consisting of two platoons of soldiers, one Bradley Fighting Vehicle and three armored personnel carriers. As the fight developed, Sergeant First Class Smith braved hostile enemy fire to personally engage the enemy with hand grenades and anti-tank weapons, and organized the evacuation of three wounded soldiers from an armored personnel carrier struck by a rocket propelled grenade and a 60 mm mortar round. Fearing the enemy would overrun their defenses, Sergeant First Class Smith moved under withering enemy fire to man a .50 caliber machine gun mounted on a damaged armored personnel carrier. In total disregard for his own life, he maintained his exposed position in order to engage the attacking enemy force. During this action, he was mortally wounded. His courageous actions helped defeat the enemy attack, and resulted in as many as 50 enemy soldiers killed, while allowing the safe withdrawal of numerous wounded soldiers. Sergeant First Class Smith's extraordinary heroism and uncommon valor are in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, the Third Infantry Division 'Rock of the Marne,' and the United States Army. Installation: Copy the folders to your Liveries\uh-1h folder (either in DCS World\Bazar or Saved Games\DCS). Optional: The release of DCS World 1.2.4 added the ability to add texture paths using the file "autoexec.cfg" in your Saved Games\DCS\Config folder. This will allow you to save hard drive space as long as the skin filenames are unique. My skins support this, so any DDS file with the same name will be identical. In order to enable this feature, add the following line to autoexec.cfg (be sure to create the file if it doesn't exist): table.insert(options.graphics.VFSTexturePaths, "C:/Users/<username>/Saved Games/DCS/Textures") You can use any path (even a different drive), but you must use forward slashes for your path. Backslashes won't work here. Then, you can move all of the DDS files from each of the skin folders to this new folder you've added to your path. Allowing overwrites is not a problem, as I use unique names for each file. Finally, be sure to go into each description.lua file and change all "false" entries to "true." Special thanks to upuaut for assistance with the more "exotic" material names, as well as the assistance with custom rotor colors. You are free to use any of the textures (e.g. custom desert flightsuits and helmets) in other skins or projects as long as proper credit is provided in the readme file. -Home Fries Click here to download this file

  10. File Name: F-105D Hill AFB updated skins File Submitter: Centurion-1 File Submitted: 31 May 2013 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Skins DELETE THE OLD HILL AFB SKINS FOR THE UPDATED ONES TO SHOW UP Updated Hill AFB skins for the SF2 F-105D This is an update for Daddyairplanes´ Hill Afb Skins (http://combatace.com/files/file/13741-f-105d-hill-afb-skins/) that I did, and are uploaded with DAs permission. The main changes from the previous version are added details and weathering as well as restoring missing rivet and panel lines. So 90% of the credit goes to Daddyairplanes, I only did a visual tuneup. Happy flying, Centurion aka Mats Liljeroos 31. May 2013 ORIGINAL README: Semi Historical Hill AFB F-105D Skins The 466th TFS, USAF Reserve, was lhe last operator of the F-105 Thunderchief. They flew their last mission before converting to the F-16A in 1983. Due to how long they flew the 'Thud' and their proximity to Ogden Air Logistics Center, where many aircraft go to be repainted, they flew 3 Thuds in colors other than the traditional SEA camo. Those schemes (SEA Wraparound, European 1, and a one off Desert scheme based on the pattern of the first two) are represented here. Also provided are black tailcode for the 466th ('HI') and 50 black serial numbers. Sorry only 50 as the Thud was getting rarer by that time. The first 10 serials are historical with the first 3 being the ones used by the aircraft so painted. the other 40 numbers are redone TW serials spanning FY59-62. This is not a completely accurate rendition, the pattern is different than T.O. 1-1-4 states for SEA Wraparound and Euro 1. What I did was to wraparound the stock skin, then swap the colors (as was done IRL). I also did not do the nose art's for the aircraft due to other commmitments, and lack of time. Much credit goes to : ludo.54m for his templates, which allowed me more freedom to color while keeping the panel lines and rivets Soulfreak, both for the idea and material support with references TK for the stock bird and decals the greater CA community for support and education over the years Included in the mod are Desert, Euro 1 and SEA Wraparound skins my Expanded Squadronlist.ini, which puts 466th TFS as selectable in menu the Photoshop templates I used to create this mod. Installation unzip the files, copy and paste to the appropriate folders. Allow merging of Aircraft and Decal folders. Enjoy Thank you for downloading this mod! daddyairplanes aka Kevin Unruh 16 Jan 2013 Click here to download this file
