F-15C: Aggressors BFM Campaign on Steam Purchase from: STEAM Store F-15C: Aggressors BFM Campaign The F-15C Aggressors BFM campaign puts you in the cockpit of an F-15C Eagle as a new Aggressor pilot with the 65th Aggressor Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base. Based on real world procedures, you will fly as "Red Air" against "Blue Air" forces. Upon arrival you will fly a familiarization flight around the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR). Then you will face a series of challenging Basic Fighter Maneuver (BFM) missions against similar and dis-similar aircraft. Your opponents include the F-4E, F-14A, F-15C, F-15E, F-16C, F/A-18C, M-2000C, MiG-29G, CF-188 and MiG-21. Additionally, there are 10 single player practice missions with in-air starts so you can perfect your BFM tactics, techniques and procedures. There are over 1,000 voice-overs and over 45 pages of briefing material including the F-15C Amplified Checklist, RED FLAG Spins, Red Forces In Flight Guide, Maps, Diagrams, Custom Kneeboards and Mission Data cards. DCS World War II Update An important aspect DCS World War II is the addition of additional player-controlled and AI aircraft. Some of these include the P-47D, Mosquito, A-20, C-47, Fw 190 A-8, and Ju-88. All of these are various stages of development, and they will serve a vital role in fleshing out the DCS World II experience in concert with the new damage modelling, new World War II era maps, and dogfight AI. As each of these elements progress to the point we’re ready to introduce in DCS World, we’ll be talking about them much, much more. Today we’d like to show off some of the P-47D skins we are working on, as well as the Mosquito. Sincerely, The Eagle Dynamics Team

  3. Since there's no sign of anyone else still working on one, I went back and finished uvw unwrapping my old Ka-25 Hormone model. But I'd like to give it to someone else to complete so I can focus on my behind-schedule ship projects. It's a modest 7800 polygons. The landing gear shocks are animated, and the rotors are properly aligned (but no fast rotor tga installed yet). It could benefit from some more details like doors, rudders, cabin windows, interior, and maybe a recessed weapons bay like on some versions. So if you like cutting holes in polygons, here's a job for you. As it is, the model is better suited for sitting on the Kiev deck or flying around as an AI target. But mostly it just needs a decent skin. I unwrapped it in the most logical manner I could think of, so it should be obvious what's what just by looking at the uvw templates. I've included a great reference pdf that was given to me by Snailman, IIRC. So, here's the package with the Max file and uvw bitmaps. Free to good home. Have fun. Ka-25_WIP.rar

  6. View File Ka-29 Helix-B This model represents the Ka-29 Helix-B assault helicopter in service with the Russian armed forces. It is a development of the Ka-27 naval helicopter and primarily designed for amphibious assault. I created this mod as "practice" using a free model I downloaded long ago. The skin is rather low-res and I have not made any attempt at improving it. However, I did create slow/fast rotors, animated doors and shock absorbers, as well as lights and weapons. The flight model is a work in progress. See the readme for full details. No cockpit is included by default; use whatever you have available. Please feel free to post improvements to the skin and/or flight model. Animations: Cockpit doors: Shift+0 Cabin doors: Shift+9 Submitter WhiteBoySamurai Submitted 03/15/2015 Category Other

  8. Hi Guys, didn't know where to stick this topic but since it will be mainly for DCS I posted it here. To cut a long story short I decided to finally buy some rudder pedals as a late Xmas gift for myself, one of the main reasons being I wanted to get into helicopter flying. After watching a bunch of helo training vids on youtube I realised my fixed wing HOTAS would not be up to snuff, and so I started to prowl the net for solutions. All off the shelf helo controls are really expensive, and I can't spare that kind of money now. Luckily there are a lot of DIY solutions on the net, and my two main sources of inspiration has been these two gents: Home Made Collective Control for PC Simulator by Daniel Liskahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQrhrjTfu-s X52 Helicopter cyclic control.mp4 by Dave Stevenshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1smUvU2V558 My plan Since I have an old unused Logitech Attack 3 stick I intend to build my prototype out of it. It has a stick with X/Y motion, no twist, and a small throttle flap. I plan to remove the joytick grip from the base, stick an extension made out of some type of tubing, probably PVC and extend the wiring and run it externall like Dave Stevens has done. Most of my planning is based on this excellent breakdown of the Attack 3 stick by Peter Vis. For the collective, I plan on removing the throttle flap and situating it on the end of an arm like Daniel Liskas solution. The wiring will be extended and I will make some type of quick connector so it can be stored separately from the cyclic stick. So guys, what do you think? Any potential pitfalls you can see?
  9. Gunship! on Steam

Don't see it mentioned elsewhere here, but Gunship! has been put up on Steam - for a mere £4.99 in the UK (that's around $7.50 I think). Also - the old mod sites are still up, so you can still get the stuff if you didn't already have it. I've had the CD since release - and really liked it back then. I tried it on Win7 H64 and it installed and started okay, but there were some problems that are probably fixed in the Steam version. About to give it another outing now - hopefully will get TrackIR working okay with the mouselook option, as POV viewing from a cockpit sends me squint...

Mil Mi-8 pack for SF2(Full 5-merged recommended). This pack represents the Mi-8/17 Multi role helicopter in service with the Pakistan Army Aviation Corps. These birds have been in service for a long time and have been used in almost every role, from disaster relief to Troop insertion to battling insurgents in the Tribal regions. The Pakistan Army mostly uses the Mi-17,but a few Mi-8 variants are also in service. The following skins are included: -Early camo -2 desert camo schemes -1 green camo scheme -1 SSG(Special Services Group) scheme A total of 5 skins are included. The Aircraft was made for SF2 by marcfighters.I have adjusted the loadout to allow it to carry non-soviet weapons. The FM of the Aircraft works perfectly well on the Normal Flight model setting.NOTE:Only ask your wingmen to engage targets within a range of 1.2 Nm or less.Otherwise, they will simply waste all their munitions from a very long range. NOTE:The skins are in the .BMP format and are sized to 2048x2048.Users with older system may want to resize to 1024x1024 for optimal performance. Installation: After unzipping PA_Mi-8 pack 1.0,place the sounds and the objects folder inside your SF2 mods folder. You must at least know about the SF2 mods folder. Note:If you do not know anything about the mod folder, the immediately stop the installation,go to the COmbatACE Forums,Go to the Strike Fighters 2 Knowledge Base and take a look at the thread explaining the Strike Fighters 2 mod folder mechanism.
