nvidia panel (3D application) settings for SF2
Eagle114th posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General DiscussionHello everyone, My goal is to fully use RTX 3080Ti in my new gaming laptop as much as possible for SF2, even though it is an old simulation. I tweaked the settings in the Nvidia panel for Il-2 1946. I want to do the same thing for SF2. So to anyone here who has successfully configured Nvidia panel settings for SF2, may I ask for the configuration here? It can be used here as a reference for us to tweak our Nvidia panel. I appreciate any help you can provide. Cheers
SERIOUS PROBLEM ABOUT PERFORMANCES REQUIRES HELP ASAP PLS
JamesWilson posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General DiscussionHi guys, i have a very big issue regarding one of my favourite games of all time: Strike Fighters: Project 1. I play this beautiful old game on my PC and i run it pretty well at lowest settings and 1920x1080p (i had ALSO to change "default graphic card option" to my high-performances NVIDIA graphic card, due to the fact that the game heavily lags if i run it with the default graphic card option, even if it's all set on lowest settings). After i figured out this little issue, the game runs pretty smoothly and at an high framerate so, what's the problem? The problem is that whenever i hit or shoot down a plane or i look at an explosion, the game freezes for a couple of seconds... So i don't know what to do and why this happens… Is that because Strike Fighters: Project 1 is too old for a modern medium-high end PC? (I used to play it also on my previous low end Windows XP PC, and i never had any kind of problem) Should i play the game at lower resolutions even if all settings are already at lowest? Why had i to choose my high-performances NVIDIA graphic card to play the game without lag even if it's an old and well optimized game? Please help me, i know SF:P1 is a very old game and i should go for SF2, but the first one is one of my favourite games of all time and THIS PROBLEM MAKES THE GAME UNPLAYABLE!!! THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH, cause this is a HUGE PROBLEM, i really have no idea of what to do and i'm very confused about what's happening...
Latest NVIDIA cards to work with AMD Freesync monitors
MigBuster posted a topic in Hardware/Software ChatIf you have a recent NVIDIA GTX10XX or RTX20XX card then driver 417.71 will allow it to work with the much cheaper AMD Freesync monitors and do Adaptive Sync. DisplayPort only for now I think. https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4764 https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4765 https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4766 https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4767 https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4768 https://www.pcworld.com/article/3333637/components-graphics/nvidia-driver-freesync-monitor-support-geforce-graphics-cards.html It’s the start of a new era. On Tuesday, Nvidia fulfilled its CES promises by releasing GeForce driver 417.71, which lets GeForce graphics cards tap into the Adaptive Sync capabilities of AMD FreeSync monitors for buttery-smooth, tearing-free gaming. Previously, GeForce GPUs could only synchronize their refresh rates with Nvidia’s own G-Sync displays, which tend to cost much more than FreeSync displays. You can snag the driver in the GeForce Experience app or on the GeForce website.
NVIDIA Shield: Anyone using this or planing to get it?
ironroad posted a topic in The Pubhttp://shield.nvidia.com/gaming-tablet/ http://videocardz.com/51059/nvidia-extends-shield-family-shield-tablet-wireless-controller Supposedly the latest verison can stream games from your pc over wifi without a hitch you also can stream titles direct over NVIDIA's Grid app. Was thinking about getting one and maybe using one as back up display or even kneeboard map. Any ideas?
Hi all, just a quick question regarding bump maps. I'm using the Nvidia PS plug-in and PS CS3 and need help with the following - For a bump map to work does the 3d model require anything added to it in the LOD or can I bump map any skin I have a template for as long as I add the bump map as "name of skin"_Normal.bmp in the A/C folder? I've done a test on the FRS1 skins and it doesn't seem to show up in-game. Cheers!
