  1. That's what's referred to as a "pitch ladder".  Many of the models in the SF2 download section were released before the advanced avionics appeared in latter versions SF2 (and their attendant patch updates) became available.

As for the "square" target indicator in the Su-27, perhaps because it's a circle in real life?

    Locking Su-27 with my F-16I ;)

There is easy way to put for example F-15 pitch ladder in any plane who dosen't have the pitch ladder ?

  2. the picture linked is pretty useless, as just WHAT item(s) in question are not being pointed out.

the "square bars" on the side of the HUD is a pitch ladder, for up and movements. Usually, across the top there is sometimes a heading scale (compass degrees). Sometimes that may only be a digital readout

being a modder has nothing to do with being able to read the instruments. KNOWING what the displays are (or should be) is the question.

your linked image clearly shows both the pitch ladder AND the heading scale on the HUD. The only thing I see missing (and if the image had been zoomed in closer to JUST show the HUD, we could see more -- and tell us WHICH aircraft--) is a gunsight

So, what exactly IS the question?

Sorry for being hard to understand, I don't know what the HUD displays are.

I am talking about that if you look at the picture you cant see the middle option IDK how its call. its the display that show you 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 55, 60 until 90. and all the way down -10, -20, -30. and also its affect when I lock a su-27 on my radar its dosent show a square.. also with ccip, you cant see it because there is not middle to the hud.

But when I fly with a SF2 basic plane like F-15A BAZ or F-16A NETZ there is no problem with the (10, 20, 30).

I hope you understand what I say.

  3. Correct. If you want to edit the stock IsraelME terrain, then you must edit the file israelme_targets.ini.

The easiest was is to open the file with Windows Notepad editor. Then press CTRL+H and replace ENEMY with NEUTRAL.

Then you has no enemy bases anymore and you can start to place new targets at the location of the map you want.

The only thing is that you must be carefull to use the correct sequence number of the target areas. For instance, if the last stock target area has the number 232 then your new target areas must start with 233 and so on.

Thank you, how should I know which position and offset to place?

  4. If you want to mod a terrain, then you will find all neccessary know how in the Knowledgebase of the First Generation sims.

    http://combatace.com/forum/191-modding-terrainsenviroments/

There are tutorials where i descriped what to do and how to do it.

In you case you can simply take an existing Israel terrain set all existing enemy bases to NEUTRAL and add some new targets in the Gaza Strip. This is to to difficult.

You other question, how to add new reagions to an existing terrain. It is simply said impossible to do that. If you would like to have a terrain which includes all terrain from Israel to Iran, then you must create a completly new terrain from scratch.

Hey, should I edit the "israelme_targets" and add gaza strip with enemy aligment?

  5. Hello, I want to make myself some action in this game.

By action I mean I want to make some modern campaign.

Air to ground only Israel vs Gaza (which I can't make because Gaza isn't have a targets, how I make a border in Israel and add a targets to gaza?)
    Second,
can I add another terrain to Israel ? take Iran map and mixed it with Syria and Israel..

    Thanks.

  6. Hey :)

My stick flying dosen't work well, IDK if its the stick or the way of the stick.

My problem is : http://prntscr.com/7w4uob(I dont touch the stick)

my stick automatically move to the left, and in the game if the stick is in the middle (which is right now without touching) the plane move left. so I need take the stick to the right to balance.

another problem is that becuase my stick move left too much, there no room to the right.. http://prntscr.com/7w4vq2is the most right I can take.

also when I move my stick down (to pitch up) :

    http://prntscr.com/7w4w9i

the most down I can take my stick.

is this the stick or the way of the stick (to make it hard to the pilot or something LOL)

    thanks :)

  7. Pilot name shows when he's reached 5+ kills ace stats. But indeed I also wonder if there's a way to revert to callsign especially for player wingmen if anyone knows. Because if it sez "Col. John Doe" there's no way to know if he's no.2, 3 or 4, unless you press F6 and start counting. :wheelchair:

So why I cant see my name? My name is still rambler 11 or lion 11 ..

I play of course for fun, so I have lots of kill, for sure 5+ kills ace stats.

  8. MB beat me to the KIAS vs KTAS, but another question is: what altitude are you flying at?  Even an aircraft capable of beating Mach 2 cannot do so at Sea Level, 5,000 feet, 10,000 feet, 20,000 feet; many times even 25,000 feet if it is carrying external stores.  For example, the F-14B, an aircraft with an approximate maximum speed of 2.4M (placard 2.34M or 1.88 if you're worried about ramp failure) with 4x AIM-7 and 4x AIM-9 at 25,000 feet will achieve about 1.98M; about .4M below the aircraft's maximum.  An F-16A with 2x AIM-9 will do a bit better than 1.8M at the same altitude, again, below maximum listed speeds.  At sea level, the F-14B maxes at around 1.2M - nowhere near the aircraft's maximum speed at high altitude.

What this boils down to is: Thrust to Drag.  You may have very powerful engines, but your aircraft also has to contend with thick air at lower altitudes, and moving that huge mass through the air generates a good deal of drag.  More stores = more drag, and lower maximum speed overall, but lower altitude and thicker air REALLY put a damper on maximum speed.  As such, most aircraft won't be able to hit their advertised limit until somewhere above 30,000 feet.

I am playing with a F-16I sufa. when hit to 35,000 feet I am at 325knots, that weird..
