Warmbrak Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Hi there, I have done some limited 3D modeling in X-Plane and MSFS, and might want to have a look at cockpit modeling for WOE (Especially for the great F-15E model, etc). Are there any tuts or descriptions on how to build cockpits, make gauges work, etc? I see there are 3DS export plugins in the download section. What are the requirement for these (3DS version, etc). If anyone can point me in the right direction, it will be greatly appreciated! Kind regards. Quote
Guest capun Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 IMHO cockpits are the hardest part to model, I don't think there are specific tutorials for SFP1, but any 3D pit tutorial will give you the basics Here's one but the pictures are gone Site1 Quote
+ajunaidr Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 I am also interested in, i have build C-130 cocpit model, but work is stopped due to non avability of information about cauges and instrument building, the information on net is confusing. i requested Zur, to share his F-86 model for learning, and hopefully he might be putting his model on his web page. so waiting for his post. as his name would be used in c-130 construction as acknowolegment and giving guidline and directions. ajunaidr Quote
Warmbrak Posted July 25, 2006 Author Posted July 25, 2006 Thanks for the replies guys. ajunaidr, it would be great if one of the cockpit masters would be willing to contribute a cockpit project for learning purposes. 3D Modeling is one thing, but to have that model interact with the game is another. Some guidelines on do's and don'ts will really help aspiring modelers. Unfortunately I have not been here for very long, so I am still learning the names. Any of the cockpit masters willing to help out prospective noobs? Quote
