georgon Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Which softwares open .log-datei and .out files inside aircraft folder? Is there the ability to edit these files with a 3d software?Tnks in advance. Quote
Guest capun Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 .OUT files are plain text files so you can use Notepad. It has the model hierarchy, mesh names, material (texture) and poly count. .LOD files are binary files exported from the 3DS Max 3D model via the ThirdWire Exporter. They cannot be reverse engineered, for one to avoid piracy. There are a few things you can change with a Hex Editor but not much. What changes do you want to do? Quote
georgon Posted November 2, 2006 Author Posted November 2, 2006 (edited) I have imported f-16b/c/d BL30/50/52 from combatace download database. The guys have made a really great work at aircrafts' exterior/interior.The cockpit is photorealistic , but i can't see any glass reflections so it looks more like it hasn't canopy! I have also downloaded F-16A Block 15 - Venezuelan Air Force (FAV) by CoolHand29 where there are cockpit reflections.Inside the aircraft's cockpit folder there are 2 .tga files called f86_reflection1 and 2. I am looking for a solution in order to import these reflections to the other aircrafts too.I have tried to change the cockpit.ini files but it didnt work.It seems that these reflections are part of the 3d model and can be edited only by the files that i mentioned at my 1st post. Maybe I do sthing wrong.I use WOE 08.30.06 patched.I look forward for any suggestions/help. :) Edited November 3, 2006 by georgon Quote
