Guest JEAGER332 Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 TK, you ought to approach the Chief of Naval Education and Training in Pensacola and see if you can get them interested. The U.S. Navy has a pretty active flight sim training program. CNET and CNATRA are using one for the Training Command based on FS98 and FS2000, and it ain't too impressive. Five years ago, it was the cat's pajamas, I'm sure, but it hasn't aged well. The fleet squadrons are using sims approved and administrated by Naval Air Systems Command. The Navy is getting into the sims heavy, and they've also approved "Jane's I-688" or whatever for the Bubbleheads to train with. Go look at http://www.cnet.navy.mil/microsim and http://www.cnet.navy.mil/tw5/nawctsd/websi...site/index.html They're issuing FS2000 to everyone entering primary flight training at NAS Pensacola, using it in NROTC and even using sims in the fleet, and they could just as well be issuing Strike Fighters - Project 1. Basically, they use off-the-shelf sims and mod them for their own use. You should talk to them about your sim. I don't think you'd mind selling them a few thousand copies to hand to the nuggets when they check in at P-cola, would you? Ha ha! Cheers! Rick... Mad Jeff DO you know anything of this? was found in Sim HQ.
