According to my book, this is a Ki-61-I-Otsu of the 3rd Chuti, 59th Sentai. I was based at Ashiya, Japan during August, 1945. It features a replaced tail and rudder, with original markings from the cannibalised aircraft. I?ve also seen it listed as a Ki-61-II-Hien, oh the joys of the internet. Another book I have (Japanes) mentions the numbers 149 and 20 for this aircraft, but confirms it as being a Ki-61-I-Otsu. 9thSentai 3rd Chutai Ashiya Japan.
