LA5FN Unit: 1st Czechoslovakian Fighter Regiment.

Plane was flown by Pilot Officer Pavel Kocfelda. The name 'RENE' refers to Kocfelda's British girl-friend whom he met while serving with the RAF.

 

La-5FN no 14 was piloted by K. Evstigneev, who ended the war with 53 personal and 3 group victories and became the Hero of the Soviet Union twice, (Yes! it's the same plane again.)
