SH71 0 Posted January 4, 2007 View File Spad XIII of David Putnam 139th Aero Squadron This skin represents the Spad XIII of David Putnam 139th Aero Squadron Putnam joined the French Flying Service in 1917 and flew in the Lafayette Escadrille before entering the United States Air Service in June 1918. Believed to have shot down over 30 aircraft, like American ace Raoul Lufbery deep in enemy territory and many unconfirmed, he was known at the time of his death as America's "ace of aces".
