jmoscola2012 0 Posted March 13, 2007 I discovered how to fix it. Under the Wheels section, you have to increase the braking coeficient for the right and left wheels. You can find these sections in the DR1_Data.ini. I increased mine from .75 to .90 and now it comes to a complete stop. Best of luck, Joe
+sinbad 27 Posted March 13, 2007 (edited) Excellent! you have discovered what no one has found before. I had a little trouble finding them, the settings are under RightmainGear and LeftMainGear. My search for "Wheels" went into limbo. It works though, but you need to be careful lest you nose over with too much brake too early. That may be why the original setting were a bit weak. Thanks again.! sinbad Edited March 13, 2007 by sinbad

Thanks again.! sinbad Believe me, I was bound and determined to make that plane stop and kept looking through the data.ini every night until I found one thing that may have something to do with it and if that didn't work, I'd search for something else. I'm quite adept at editing these ini files because i've been playing WOV since it came out. I just have to learn how to make skins next. Thank you for you wonderful comment. It's greatly appreciated, Joe Edited March 13, 2007 by jmoscola2012

Keep trying the the lowest numbers on each wheel until it stops ;-))
Guest capun Posted March 13, 2007 The BrakingCoefficient works since it is supposed to be coupled with HasBrakes=TRUE In this case, none of the FE planes have brakes. The statement may have been left from a previous WWII plane The problem is that the Wheels and tail skid have a very, very low rolling coefficient. Hey the goverment said to increase the Fleet Milage didn't they? :) What you need to change is this [LeftMainGear] SystemType=LANDING_GEAR . . // HasBrakes=TRUE <- Left from a WWII plane most likely // BrakingCoefficient=0.75 RollingCoefficient=0.25 <- Increase the Rolling Coefficient to this value, even try 0.30 [RightMainGear] . . // HasBrakes=TRUE <- Left from a WWII plane most likely // BrakingCoefficient=0.75 RollingCoefficient=0.25 <- Increase the Rolling Coefficient to this value [TailGear] SystemType=LANDING_GEAR . . RollingCoefficient=0.5 <- Increase to this value, even try 0.70 I'll send the info to Charles
