Guest Charles Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 It looks French because it is - the rugged, versatile and highly successful Bréguet Br 14 B2. Coming soon to First Eagles... Quote
+pcpilot Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 One of the things I LOVE about this game, and indeed the whole Strike Fighters series, is the interesting aircraft. Where else can you find a Bréguet Br 14 B2? Thanks Charles, very cool. Looking forward to this bird. Quote

+pcpilot Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Some interesting facts about the Breguet from the book Silver Wings: A History of the United States Air Force... It was used by 16 US air units and was extremly popular with its crews. It was built entirely of aluminum except for wooden wing ribs, the fairings, and the fabric covering. It had provision to jettison the fuel tank if the plane caught fire in the air, a particularily desireable feature. It continued in production after the war, over 8000 eventually being built. Interesting plane and read... Thanks A-Team... Quote
