AI bomb bay door

I have done a search but i can't find out if AI planes will open there bomb bay door during an attack I can get my wing man to do it but another element will not they just start orbiting until AA brings um down do you have to do something in the mission file to tell the AI to open the doors?

Did you tell the other flight to attack the ground targets?

 

I haven't checked this on a while, if they still are doing it maybe you can set the bomb bay doors to open automatically. You don't have to press the Open Bomb Bay Key command, they'll open when you select and drop the weapon.

well i don't have control to tell um what to do for instance I'm Trout flight they are Lion flight my Trout boys do there job But the lion flight says it's "going in hot" but they just orbit, I have tried this on a few diffent aircraft. example I set up an AI B-52 strike in my mission they get on target and don't do the job

I know my UCAVs will open doors to attack...so it's definitely possible.

That is weird. My TBF wingman will attack as ordered but the bomb bay is not open. I tried several things and still not opening.

 

The other flight members will attack if you keep going back and forth over the target but no bomb bay opening.

 

BTW, are you flying in Normal or Hard Mode, just to be in the same playing level. I fly in Normal mode in my test install.

 

Need to test it in a clean install to be sure that the test install is not causing the problem

It's something weird. I just looked at one of the UCAV's, the wingie does open the bay before dropping the bomb while the TBF does not.

 

I sort of did a quick compare and tried to match the UCAV entries but no luck. Weird stuff going on

 

I forgot to add that the UCAV is in another test install.

I've had the S-3 AI open bomb bays to drop thier load on targets after I ordered them to attack targets.
