Silverbolt Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 hi all! i have one question: how can i shutdonw the catapult effects of carriers? i was playing and when i release the Weel breaks in VTOL carriers, the plane take off , buth with the catapult effects, and this carriers donesnt have catapult! so somewone can help me?
+FastCargo Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Well, I know you can shorten the catapults....other than that, I know of no other way to get the aircraft ON the carrier in a campaign mission. You need the catapults to be able to show the aircraft in your flight. FastCargo
+FastCargo Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Actually, just tested shortening the carrier catapult (LHA-1) to barely a centimeter in length. Worked like a champ...was able to lift off using a combo of vectored thrust and flaps with very little forward thrust from the catapult itself. However, be careful with this technique. Any aircraft which uses that catapult will not get the velocity it needs...and your wingmen aren't smart enough to use the vectored thrust to takeoff... FastCargo

LaunchTime=1 LaunchEffect= CatapultEffect= ReadyAnimationID= ReadyAnimationTime= FastCargo
