Help with Kreelin's Mission Editor: Choosing your aircraft

I had it working perfectly, then I decided to delete the mission I created and start from scratch and ever since I can't work out how to choose my aircraft. I've tried strikeeagle's visual tutorial and I still can't figure it out. I know the answer will probably be blantantly obvious, but I just can't seem to get it to work!

You don't have a drop down window, half way down in the middle? Object type? Should be a plane name in the window.

Yes, but it won't drop down to allow me to pick different aircraft.
