Configuring joysticks for Enemy Engaged 2?

This sim is not recognizing my joysticks.

 

Do I have to create a profile before joystick control will work?

Hi, Did you configure the joystick in the Games config page?? here is a Pic I have a X52 HOTAS:

 

 

 

 

 

 

You will also need to configure the Control options Page:

Yes, I did all that. The screen says the control is changed from keyboard to the various axis, but my joystick/throttle movements have zero effect.
