Anyone know why this happens and/or if there's a fix?

Just picked up the A-model Vark and took her out for a spin w/ wx set to random. It was foggy outside, but also noticed that between me and the instrument panel it was the same. Once I got up above the overcast, it cleared. Same thing has happened in the past w/ TMF Crusaders. I think in all instances for me is has been in WOI - latest time I've been fully patched and only thing new added other than the jets was the CA weps pack.

Obviously, the easy solution is either: set the wx higher, or fly something else in the goo. Neither is really a good option since it limits the fun.

This is a side effect of using the OpenCockpit=TRUE line in the cockpit.ini of the aircraft (it's a piece of code used in First Eagles).

The advantage is that you can have better visibility on parts of the aircraft close to you. Or in the F-111s case, you can see your WSO sitting right next to you.

The disadvantage is what you just noticed.

This thread explains it in more detail:

What's weird is that I don't see this in my own install (the side effect of being IFR in the cockpit) even though I use it myself.
