renojane Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Does anyone remember Airborne Ranger made my MicroProse back in the 80's? It was made for the Commodore 64, Amiga and then later on for the PC. I still play this great game/sim on my C64 emulator on my PC. The game play is excellent and you never get tired of completing each mission. I have bought many games and sims over the years and have lots of the latest war and flight sims, but Airborne Ranger is one that I keep coming back to. I only wish someone would upgrade this sim and redo it with the latest graphics and more missions added. Each mission is different and you have to use your own judgement and strategy to get to the top of the battle field to get to your return aircraft. Your time is limited and you can take different routes to accomplish your mission avoiding the pillboxes and enemy guards. If anyone is interested I can tell them where to d/l the emulator software (free) and the sim. Quote
