Flogger23m Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Hello all, I was attempting my first texture/skin for an aircraft when I ran into this issue: The "yellow lights" are getting in the way of my new tail texture (the skull and red line thing). They are not on the tail texture itself... is the yellow thing located on a different file? Or is it on the model itself? I would like to remove it completely, but I do not know where it is coming from. If anyone knows how I can remove it, please let me know. I am using an existing skin I downloaded somewhere as the basis for my retexture (don't worry, I am not going to redistribute it. I am just making it for fun/myself). Quote
+331Killerbee Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 OK....It's TMF's F/A-18A. The Lights are what's called "Slimers" or Formation Lights. Each Skin File should have a File labled F18_Tails.Tga. You can Paint over the Areas with White for the Skull and use other Colors in the Ribbion Area. Just remember to "Save" in Your Paint Program. But keep in mind, This won't turn off the Lights. The Area will still show lighter than the rest of the Tail. 331KillerBee Quote
Flogger23m Posted May 5, 2009 Author Posted May 5, 2009 Thank you for the quick reply. I'll probably just come up with new tail art to go around it. Quote
