Doughboy 0 Posted May 16, 2009 Would someone please create a Sticky post that details the correct process for uninstalling the BHAH mod (and CFS3) from ones computer? I'm tying to clean up some HD space and I intend to put it back on, but it seems that I find folders in a few places other that Program files /Miceosoft/CFS3 ect... I just want to clean up and reinstall my flight sims on one drive. Thanks Gents
steve58 0 Posted May 16, 2009 (edited) This is how I'd do it (anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong or missed anything): 1. Use the Uninstall feature in Control Panel to remove CFS3 (Vista: Control Panel -> Programs and Features. XP: Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs). 2. I believe you can just delete your BHaH directory. 3. Then go check your PC for leftover directories for CFS3 and BHaH. On my PC (Vista64) I have files/directories in these directories. (Maybe someone with an XP install can add in the directories for XP?) · C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 3 · C:\Games\BHaH (my chosen BHaH install directory, yours may be different) · C:\Users\<your PC name>\Documents\CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields · C:\Users\<your PC name>\Documents\Combat Flight Simulator 3.0 · C:\Users\<your PC name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields · C:\Users\<your PC name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Combat Flight Simulator 3.0 Delete any of these directories/files that remain. 4. Then I'd run a program like CCleaner to go and remove any Registry entries (CCleaner allows you to save a copy of your registry and you should!) and reboot. NOTE: One thing I did notice was that I do actually have an entry in my Vista: Control Panel -> Programs and Features to remove the last patch (patch 9 V1.30c) so I'm assuming others may as well. So the question to Polovski is should the patch(es) be removed first, then the BHaH directory? Edited May 16, 2009 by steve58
