Hi there people,

I bought this game when it first came out YEARS AGO... to me then it was way too complicated for my small attention span. After visting my old junk drawer in my mums house interstate I found it again. Now im really getting into this game. It still has so many great things that i didnt appreciate back then.

It runs fine on my 'newer' machine however im experiencing some flickering on the leading edged and highlighted areas of the aircraft also the smoke and graphical effects turn blue/grey/green ?! (explosions, smoke ect). My graphics card is a Geforce 8000GTS, 2 Gig Ram DDR2, XP Pro 2002.

I've donje some tweaking in the Nvidia control panel which fixed up some other issues but these probs still havent been ironed out yet.

Any tips? (I should also see if there are any patch updates for my card!)

Thanks in advance

If you have up-to-date video drivers you shouldn't be seeing that. Is the game patched? I don't know if you have Flaming Cliffs/LOMAC Gold or just regular LOMAC. FC is at ver 1.12, while LOMAC only went to 1.02. Make sure you're at one of those.

In the game control panel make sure you have shadows set to "All Planar". There's an issue with full shadows that hasn't been addressed with the newer nVidia drivers and new vid cards such as the one you have. In your driver control panel make sure you have the selection under Texture Filtering set to "Quality"
