Stanner 0 Posted January 1, 2010 When you are in Virtual Cockpit, can you pan around ? When I am in VC I can not pan. I am trying to decide whether I need to delete OFF since I am not able to pan view which makes it impossible to dogfight. Thanks. Stanner
Stanner 0 Posted January 1, 2010 (edited) As mentioned in another post, I deleted OFF and patches. I then reinstalled OFF and patches. I still have the same problem, the inability to pan my views while in Virtual Cockpit by using the POV Hat switches. There is nothing wrong with my joystick, it works in FS2004, and CFS 3. The problem is with OFF. Without the ability to pan view while in VC means that I would last less than a minute in a dogfitght. It therefore makes no sense for me to continue with OFF. Money down the drain. Thanks to the one gentlemen who attempted to help. I found the help from fellow OFF members to be zero. Since this sim lacks documentation the only other source of help are the other OFF players. Unfortunately this is also lacking. Cannot recommend this sim. Stanner 0 Posted January 1, 2010 Ok I have solved the problem. The NUM Lock must be off for the POV Hat to work. However the pan is not smooth but rather jumps from one view to another. Perhaps OFF should make a note of this for new OFF players. Stanner
Stanner 0 Posted January 1, 2010 (edited) Sorry do not understand TRACKIR. Are you saying I should purchase the devise that allows the sim view to track my head movements? If yes, then that is no answer to panning in VC. Perhaps I should add two other monitors? How about just dealing within the sim itself, without expensive addons. Otherwise I do not know to what you refer. Stanner Edited January 1, 2010 by Stanner
Wallaroo 0 Posted January 6, 2010 Two suggestions: 1. Get the OFF Command Key Card (see the 'stickies' at the top of this topic). 2. For smoother panning - try the 'scroll lock' key Trust this helps.
