Streakfalcon Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Im not getting any effects from the AIM26As using Killerbee's weps pac for sf2. Missle object is in objects folder and falcons data points to the effect. The effect ini does seem short though. Anyone able to confirm this? Quote
Squiffy Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 (edited) The thread and KB info on this is a little scarce and spread out. I think what ended up working for me is to add a line at the top of the weapon or effect. In this line place a callout for the shader or fx dll that will run it. Give me a minute to find it and I will post back. It worked great for me. Edited January 21, 2010 by Squiffy Quote
Squiffy Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 (edited) OK here it is: Last page, last post. The shader is the important part. You can choose from a couple. Follow another weapon as an example. One you know that works. http://forum.combatace.com/topic/41168-using-custom-effects-in-sf2/page__view__findpost__p__372523

Oh yeah, and it's a group of lines not just one. Basically you're addign the effect to the weapon itself. A missle might require more work than just this. Edited January 21, 2010 by Squiffy Quote
Streakfalcon Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 Yup thats it, the effect should be placed in the weapon's data ini as per the KB. Then add an effects shader such as EffectShaderName=twColor1.fx just after the effect heading, also I used the gen 1 aerial nuke effect data in my Effects folder. Thanks Quote
Squiffy Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Sweet, now go nuke em till htey glow. :) Quote
Streakfalcon Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 So I did, only the intercept mission I ended up getting was a two ship of F102s and red crown calls out bandits 17 seconds after liftoff. Beagles inbound 10 miles. Select nuke falcons, get radar lock, Fox 1. Only the target is now directly over the airfield. My airfield.Boom! Ever sucessfully complete a mission with -1400 points? Effect looked great though. Quote
Squiffy Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Ouch! That's gotta hurt! So what is it with point blank intercepts nowadays? I had the same thing on a CAS mission last night. My stingers and gunpods wern't workign so I got slammed. Glad the effect is working. Take a screenie please when you get a chance. Thanks Quote
