All right let be preface this by saying these steps work great; however, something's wrong somewhere.

I followed those steps to the letter for the Vietnam AG Mod and 100% success, no issues whatsoever.  Now I am trying to make another mod folder for another mod.  Well I follow those steps perfectly, copy the folders, adjust the paths in the INI files, delete the second INI files in the new directories, etc.  No joy, the game keeps writing folders to the original mod folder and not the custom.

So here's what I have done.

1) Create custom exe named SF2 Israel XP

2) Run game

3) Copy SF2 Israel XP folder from C:\Saved Games to D:\New_Path

4) Go back to C:\Saved Games, edit options.ini file to new path

5) Remove folders so it's just options.ini & version.ini

6) Go to D:\New_Path, remove ini files

So all is good and well, worked fine for Vietnam AG now it won't work for Israel XP.  I copied from the same exe file as I did with VAG.

Tried making an ini file for the exe in the game directory - no joy

Tried making the options.ini file read only - no joy

Seriously wits end how this process can work perfectly once and then not again even when it's step-by-step-by-step.  I've done it about five times already thinking the game didn't like how I renamed the EXE and no joy.

I've been scouring the forums trying to find this precise issue but what I find is people forgetting a step along the way to rename paths in ini files, not where it doesn't work after they've done it all.

Help please?

Windows 7 by the way.
