bearcat83 Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 Hi, i´ve downloaded Capun´s B-47E a few day´s ago and i love it! It look´s great but it has a big bug with the tailguns! the gun is firing in the wrong direction! it is only firing when a enemy is in FRONT of me and also the gun only looks at my 7 o´clock and is not moving. this is the orginal data.ini [TailGunner] ... PitchAngleRate=45 MaxPitch=40 MinPitch=-40 DefaultPitchAngle=0 YawLimited=TRUE YawAngleRate=45 MaxYaw=50 MinYaw=-50 DefaultYawAngle=180 when you change it into: [TailGunner] ... PitchAngleRate=45 MaxPitch=40 MinPitch=-40 DefaultPitchAngle=0 YawLimited=TRUE YawAngleRate=45 MaxYaw=50 MinYaw=-50 DefaultYawAngle=0 it looks correct but still firing in the wrong direction! and if you change it into this: [TailGunner] ... PitchAngleRate=45 MaxPitch=40 MinPitch=-40 DefaultPitchAngle=15 YawLimited=TRUE YawAngleRate=45 MaxYaw=240 MinYaw=120 DefaultYawAngle=180 the gun is working correctly but it looks inverted i´m getting mad with this stuff Any idea? or is there a fix available? Guest capun Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 (edited) IMHO is a problem in the game engine If you set the gun to face to the rear and set the pivot point to be world aligned (3DS Max computer talk) then the gun flash is backwards. If you set the gun to face forward in 3DS Max and the pivot point world aligned, then the gun flash is correct. You change the gun direction via the ini, thus the 180 The 180, will cause the gun to rotate 180 degrees and face it correctly If set to 0, it will be pointing to the front, You also set the max amount that the gun can rotate via the Yaw variables, the visual model will stop at those angles set, but the gun will continue firing past that. If you set the 3DS Max pivot to be rotated 180 degrees and aligned with the gun barrel, then the gun flashes get miisaligned So now you can see the issues. I am waiting for a response from TK to see how to solve this Edited July 4, 2005 by capun Quote
