TFD editor large clipboard paste

TFD editor seems to have large clipboard paste function. "[ and ]  Set size for large clipboard paste (N-key)" the manual reads. How does it operate? 

I want to copy paste bigger portions than 5x5 tiles - does this function allow this?

What I actually want to do is to move the whole map down and to the left. Modded a terrain but got too close to the top left corner. Moving the HFD I can do in Photoshop, and model the part that will be  missing. But I have done a lot of hand tiling  with TFD tool and need to basically move all the tiles the same distance to match the HFD.
