anamation backwards after patch - how to fix?
vampirella posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Hi all! I have been of the game for a while and not up to date yet - I am sure this has been talked about somewhere else, I found some threads but i could not make a solution for my troubles out of them yet. It seems after the latest patches some stuff works diffrent. A lot of my planes now give me trouble with animated parts. currently I am fighting with an A-Sabre slat problem, the animation is backwards. At low speeds in, at higher speeds it deploys. the section from data.ini looks like this: [LeftSlat] SystemType=HIGHLIFT_DEVICE CLiftdc=-0.0104 CDdc=0.0028 Cmdc=-0.0002 DeltaStallAlpha=6.0 AreaRatio=1.033 DeploymentMethod=AUTOMATIC_AERODYNAMIC_LOAD Setting[1].Angle=30.0 Setting[1].DeployValue=92.6 Setting[1].RetractValue=59.16 MaxDeflection=30.0 MinDeflection=0.0 ControlRate=0.3 AnimationID=10 can anyone help me how to fix this effect? tnaks! -

Thanks mate this did the trick! actually... does this mean the ini was wrong from the start? I have similar effects with canopies fx. and from what i read here it seemed patch related. -

Korean Air War Complete Mod in WoV?
vampirella replied to vampirella's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mission/Campaign Building Discussion
I have WOV, yes. And yes, i do have a separate install for each mod. On this install there is only the Korean mod. No other terrain either (VietnamSEA is there as it is stock...) i have a separate install for the middle east and another for vietnam and one for the german/European theatre. so what can be the twist to that? which cat file would I have to look into (and what tool do I need) to see if the lods are missing. but since I downloaded the whole thing "as is" from this site I assume there shouldn't be any problem? -

hm... okay, there is a reference to airfield_.lods in the TYPES.ini, but no airfield_.lod file in the folder (which is in the correct place) the folder contains several bmp files though that are graphics for runways. but in other terrains i have (Deutschalnd, Israel... fx) there is also no airfield_.lod but the airfields show up there... -

Korean Air War Complete Mod in WoV?
vampirella replied to vampirella's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mission/Campaign Building Discussion
I have no airfields in the Korea mod. I was wondering if this is usual, but as I used to start my missions near the action at first I did not notice that the airfieds where missing for me. there are just grass-squarers, no sign of an airport. If I chose the option start on runway I stand on the gras and take off from there, no airfield buildings or runways. Is it supposed to be that way? I assume not... -
middle east wars - suez doesn't work
vampirella posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mission/Campaign Building Discussion
okay, another step into my adventures with WoV. I went Middle East. From what I see I did nothing wrong, have used a clean updated install to get this mod into. I have applied all the stuff from the readme (maybe I did something wrong here but I double checked can't find it). The Seuz campaign doens't work. the other two do. when I start a seuz campaign I get to teh point of the first mission loading and at aprx. 80% the whole game shuts itself down. I tried different planes and units but result was the same. as said, 6 days and Yom kippur start okay, singel mission does also work, even when I select a plane from the suez aera. it doesn't matter if install is v1.0 or 1.1, so anything that changes with the update is likely ruled out. it has to be soemthing that was there from the beginning. is there an Error log taht can tell what the error is? Haven't found one yet. does anyone have the same troubles maybe? thanks guys. -

okay.... I think i got it, i rechecked all the objects installations and it seems I made a mistake with the pasko_desert_pak file. I wonder why the other campains worked then... but anyway, now Suez 56 can be started! i hope it holds. thanks for pointing the direction with objects! :) -

yep, teh game just crashes without notice. okay, I thought I looked in the amin directory but maybe I missed the error.log in the heat of the battle, I had to get away fast... (memo: don't run tests when the partner is waiting already to go to the movies...) I am not at home either, I will let you know if the file is there and what it says. -

WoV does just close without any error message. my initial question was about any error log file within the program that could give me a hint what was wrong. If there is an error log file, please point me to it. I pointed out an analogy to Il2: sturmovik which provides usually helpful error messages and an error log both of which I could not find in WoV. -
middle east wars - suez doesn't work
vampirella replied to vampirella's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mission/Campaign Building Discussion
answer to both is yes. i know the Mod manager and know what it's doing here. as said, a single mission of the suez aera worked but I can't start the campaign. what is the sequence of loading? what is being processed when the bar reaches 80%? ( I come from Il2, it tells you what is currently loaded and usually gives you error messages and has an error log... I miss this stuff dearly with WoV) -

Korean Air War Complete Mod in WoV?
vampirella replied to vampirella's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mission/Campaign Building Discussion
It is working, gentlemen! thanks a lot! one has to aply the custom main screen additionaly from here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...mp;showfile=908 with the one that comes with the mod you get the right/left confusion with the blank field of the menu being right hand (like SF:P1 I assume) but the WoV tags being invisble until mouseover on the left. the custom from the link above corects that to a complete new screen. EDIT: Did I say F-86 rocks big time? ;) -
