    Hopefully there will be something to show for all the work I’ve put into this soon. Sorry I never post stuff here, but it’s a bit light on traffic, which is also partly my fault I guess.     if you dropped my mod into another mod, it wouldn't be pretty. I’d advise agents it. This should be put in a fresh, un patched install, if you want missing nacelles. I plan to have bits and pieces of TEM 01, possibly some exclusive TEM 02 content, with a little bit of community mod as well. Providing I get permission. if you like how all those ships look beat to hell, my mod is for you. None of the other mods, as far as I know have eliminated shield bleed. When a ship takes hull damage with the shields up, it doesn't leave a scratch on the hull. Now you have to beat the shields down to cause the hull any damage, and every torpedo hit and phaser score leaves a mark on a ship with all its hull hit points. And I didn’t just take screen shots of when it’s really bad, every skirmish they look like that or worse. More than just balance the ships, I have unlocked tons of weapon possibilities that the game developers lazily denied you. How about all the tng ships firing multiple beams from all over the phaser arrays at once? Stock the Galaxy or Sovereign will only fire one beam at a time from their huge phaser arrays. And in all the other mods too. I think if people give what I’m making a chance, they might find the other mods kind of boring. With all their visual, interactive improvement and all the enhanced content, the ship combat still sucks, and was not improved, in fact unbalanced more than before. But they have put allot of work and love into their products and the community is much better for it. If they weren’t around, the community would be dead by now. Friendly competition makes every product better, and hopefully I can raise the bar in my own little way.     that really cool about the tractor beam, might have to start using it offensively for once! are the coto's engines officially "knocked out"? if not, single player would be over before it began. have you checked that?

    there are actually a ton of AI values in the config file, I've messed with them a bit in the mod I'm making. before you mess with the config make a back up every time and make sure every little thing you change doesn't crash the game. the weirdest little value tweek can crash it, trust me I've spent a solid month on my config file.

    On the invitation of dagger, I have decided to start posting information about my mod here as well. The original thread is here ( http://startrek.bethsoft.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8508 ) and is full of information on what I have done so far. basically i have taken a game with bland starship combat and made it so much cooler. All ships have many times more hit points, fire pulse weapons like mad, fling torpedoes like there going out of style, and fire multiple phasers out of arrays were you could fire one before. The config is my masterpiece though, it makes everything behave exactly how I want, and after days of fighting with it I have fully eliminated shield bleed. Now all hull damage is taken on the chin, and the results in ships that look shot to hell like they should. I have released an early version of my work, and then another release with custum ships from various authors, which crashes the game because of some stupid physics file.
